That would be awesome as I've never had a hydrocopper block b4 and just ordered a pr of universal blocks someone else is using. One for AMD,...

I have the cpu blocks Gold and CSQ Original. Great blocks !!! The CSQ works much better than I expected compared to the Gold imho. I like to bench and use quick connects to change between a gpu cooled with air or water in minutes so there's little to no water loss or air in the system making the 2nd block ready to go.

    Nothing too serious, 3DMark Unigine...

I bought a pr of universal gpu blocks. The thermosphere from EK will work. Someone else is using one.

I went the evo supremacy. I don't know about adapter plates for the kpe, but at 1st glance it looks like mine lines up nicely. I just sent an email asking about adapter plates, I have a D13 that doesn't

want to run. I suspect the tim is the issue, but haven't gotten around to working on it yet. That's the reason for 2 blocks...

     Hope that helps.

I just finished separating my loops, now I have 2 complete loops on the 1 system. I had to mod my case for the 4th line to fit, but np.

Lian Li cases are a joy to work on, in and mod. I simply took out the spots between the 3 holes and it works just fine.

I will likely still buy a hyrdocopper when they bcum available.

Are you sure, EKWB Thermosphere work on GTX980 K|NGP|N Classified?
For me is 980 K|NGP|N Classy one of nicest dual cooler cards ever build.

Thanks fishingfanatic. I tried using XS-PCs universal block but ran into clearance issues with the mounting on the kpe but I'll try the EK.
I'm curious, are you actively or passively cooling your VRMs?

Yeah seems like the Kingpin one will need special treatment and hopefully has a way to be able to flip the 4 switches on the top of the card with the block on, although I'm not expecting it to have that.  No hurry here...still need to upgrade the cpu/mobo.

But to be honest I don't know if I can bring myself to take the awesome cooler off....may have to do a second build with 2 new gpu's and leave this one alone.

I was going to try and build a custom mount so i could put the cover over the water block,
unless when they make the block it still looks just as nice

I thought i was the only one to feel this way lol. I have never seen such a nice cooler. For me to take it off EA will have to build something special.

    From this AM:

    Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting EK Support.

Currently waterblock for EVGA GTX 980 Kingpin is in testing phase and shall be ready for sales in four weeks.
I have already put pressure on production manager as there is quite some demand for these waterblocks by now and hopefully customers won't resent the postponing.

EK 980 Classified waterblock is not compatible with the EVGA 980 K|NGP|N videocard.

If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

    Lep pozdrav, Kind regards, MFG!

I would be all over this if my case would fit it with a block on it. But no, it's too fat. Lol
My 680 classy barely fits in the case without a block.

If EKWB launch similar block as for 980 Classified that will look very nice.
I like water-block for 980 Classified. This time they made excellent block and cover full card.
EKWB waterblock for 980 Classified is their nicest waterblock, even nicer than for TITAN X.
Only it's bad because cost more than for TITAN X, they should little pay attention and on hardware value.

When i took mine apart to change the TIM the back plate was holding the pcb in place...no other screws under it...hopefully this will push them to leave it alone as all screws go through the back plate....

I really hope they make it so we can use the original backplate, without getting our own screws and such.

It means that it might be an EVGA HydroCopper block "made by EK"

Sorry guys I haven't reply in the last days because at that time I didn't have any news but yesterday our R&D chief said that we might have pictures this weekend and that the block should be done in a week or so.  That the latest news I have.  I know it's not much but this is what I have so far.
