Hey everyone,

EVGA Precision does not save my overclocks after reboot. I'm running the latest version. Some forums have suggested that you need to reload the profile every time you restart, or always have Precision running in the background. Is this true?  Surely there's a way to make the overclock permanent like the CPU overclock. I have the EVGA 980Ti Hybrid. Since its liquid cooled I figured it would be ideal for overclocking. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

P.S. The OC is fairly standard to begin with:  +87Mv/+100Mhz/+300Mem

Been a long time since I used it but there should be a option to start up with whatever OCs you set

Selecting START UP ON should write your OC settings into the NVIDIA graphics driver, if not, you can try:

    1. Uninstall PrecisionX.

    2. Delete the Program Files(x86)\EVGA\PrecisionX 16 folder (this is essential!).

    3. Restart your PC.

    4. Install PrecisionX again and configure and apply your OC.

    5. Select START UP ON.

    6. Go from there.

OR, the shortcut without completely uninstalling PrecisionX:

    1. Close PrecisionX.

    2. Delete all the .cfg files in the Program Files (x86)\EVGA\PrecisionX 16\Profiles folder

    3. Restart your PC.

    4. Open PrecisionX

    5. Close PrecisionX whereupon the .cfg files will be recreated using default clock speeds.

    6. Open PrecisionX again, configure and apply your OC.

    7. Select START UP ON.

    8. Go from there.

Selecting START UP ON writes the OC (clock speed) settings into the NVIDIA graphics driver, therefore PrecisionX need not be configured to START WITH OS, or running, to have the OC settings become effective at Windows start up, the OC settings are loaded with the NVIDIA graphics driver until START UP ON is turned off..Custom fan speed settings and some other settings will not become effective unless PrecisionX is running in the background.

You're welcome..Lemme know if it works for you, but many times when there's a problem with settings in PrecisionX or the PrecisionX OSD Server, the .cfg files are at the root of it..I've also found that, for me at least, PrecisionX v5.3.8 is less problematic than the newer versions, but then again it's the opposite for others, it just depends..You can get many of the older versions by scrolling down here after signing in to EVGA.
