i just wanted to know if there is a difference between the two an which one is newer ^_^ mins away from buying one. both on ''Internal'' http://www.lg.com/us/data-storage

    Id look into the Mdisc and what media about the Mdisc?

    No, the media itself. Do ya need special DVDr's/BRr's?
     
    forgive the the disc labels, I havent messed with disc media in ages....

    With Software
    LG BH14NS40 14X SATA Blu-ray BDXL Internal Rewriter with Software - Retail Box
    Without Software 
    LG Electronics 14x Internal BDXL Blu-Ray Burner Rewriter WH14NS40 - Bulk Drive - Black
    Also update the firmware once you get one or the other, I have some of each models.
    Make sure if you have only ONE drive powered up when you do update the firmware.
    You will need to by software to watch Blu-ray movies I use CyberLink PowerDVD 12 Ultra.
    Make sure the version you get supports Blu-Ray NOT ALL DO.

    no need to buy software lol!! Media Player Classic with GPU acceleration does just fine.

    no need to buy software lol!! Media Player Classic with GPU acceleration does just fine.


    Please do post that you can play a Blu-ray Move with only Media Player Classic I think a lot of us would like to know this. If you are looking for a Free Tool users can take a look at VLC Media Player.
