Early sales numbers and projections for Respawn’s latest shooter, Titanfall 2, are lower than Electronic Arts had hoped for, but the publisher is committed to building Titanfall into a franchise for the foreseeable future.     Link

Ubisoft said something totally similar with their COD franchise, good luck to them. However, what it really comes down to is they're out of ideas, they have no creativity or imagination. That's pretty much what America is nowadays anyway, just look around even at the movies.

Are the games bad?   Both Titanfalls looked interesting to me as concept, but since I don't do much multiplayer there wasn't a lot of desire to get them.

I personally enjoyed the first Titanfall. I'm going to hold off on buying the sequel. It still looks pretty good.

I love TF2.  And was it was nice for a game to be very well optimized and work well on release day.

It was released in a tough spot is why the sales are hurting...sandwiched between GOW4, New COD and BF but I'm pretty sure they just see it as their answer to COD and not a competitor of their BF game.

For me it's the online multiplayer I'll be playing most for the next year because I'm not a fan of BF and the new COD is garbage (but I did get it to play MW Remastered).

Long term support, specifically basic PC feature support is absent or lacking resulting in most PC gamers ignoring the franchise. Treating PC consumers poorly by not including them in product betas for game also didn't help.

The only thing positive they've done with this franchise is no atrocious season pass hysteria EA and most publishers are known for these days. Without longevity though, doesn't matter if you get free content if nobody is around to actually use it. That was a problem with the previous game and they learned nothing. EA picked up Respawn Entertainment in the hopes the Titanfall franchise would be the next big thing and is basically stuck with it now. Same way they were with Crysis, turning away from the PC crowd.

Not my fault if you're offended.

When you are the king of the hill in game development it's less about what the customers want and more about what you're going to feed them.

Respawn entertainment treated the PC community like it was red headed step child no one wants.

That worked so well last time with Command and Conquer and Medal of Honor, maybe wait for new idea's before making games, Activision that goes for you as well, Call of Duty hasn't changed since 2007, and Valve is also just as guilty with CS

First titan fall was only ok.  But then the dlc and no server browser killed the community.  I died off fast to the point you would find no one playing.  Think evolve.
