Seems like a pretty good price on a 27" 1440p G-Sync monitor.  144Hz, supports nVidia 3D, and also has a 3 year advanced replacement warranty according to Dell's site.  No it's not an IPS panel - but with the icc profile installed from TFTcentral it's not bad at all...  I own 2 of these monitors and they are a great monitor!

Must resist. I want a Dell Gsync monitor so bad. That TN though. I really dislike those. Patiently trying to wait for a IPS version.

This was my experience as well but it was with old stock, October 2015 manufacture date so I returned it. According to recent reviews the 2016 batches have much less AG coating so I'm crossing my fingers with the new one I have coming to me in the mail.

I sit on it and sit on it more. I pulled the trigger on it. Having this new GTX 1080 I was wanting a 1440p Gsync monitor so bad. I ate my words with the TN panel. I hope with calibration. It will look pretty good considering. The price was right as well I thought. You guys are BAD making me do this!

Aside from my misfortune of getting an old manufacture date from Newegg, after calibration I was pretty happy with the results. When you first turn it on though it'll look pretty horrible but you can get it to look good for a TN. Check your manufacture date it'll say on the box and on the back of the monitor. If it's older than November 2015 send it back as those are the defective units with no HDCP support and excessive anti-glare coating. Make sure you check Nvidia Control Panel to confirm your unit has HDCP. I'm on my third order this time from BestBuy because the first two I received from Newegg were October batches. Fingers crossed

Gah. I was reading version A01 is the crap version and A02 is the fixed version. Apparently you can tell with out even opening the box from the serial # and revision #. I hope Best Buy is not clearing out old stock full of A01's and that is why its on sale.

Oh do keep me posted! Mine will be here this Wednesday. Fingers crossed for A02. I need a break this time! Also if you are interested in my ICC profile once calibrated. I would be happy to send it. Targets will be 2.2 gamma, 120cm bright, D65 color. I read out of the box gamma is horrific. But, once calibrated. Apparently it is fine. If I did not have the tool to calibrate it. I was not even going to consider this monitor. Now if devs. would add options to hold ICC profiles with games. Like the Witcher 3 for example. That would be grand.

Yes please! I tried calibrating myself with lagom.nl and I think I got close to 2.2 but I would definitely like to see how yours compares as I've never been very good at doing it. And I'll post back as soon as I've got it set up. I'm very picky when it comes to monitors and look over the whole thing for any dead pixels and at this price it's gonna go back if there are any.

Yeah I tried that too and it still looked like the gamma was off a bit when I checked with lagom.nl but it didn't seem off by a lot. Or maybe my eyes are just bad.

I would hope that the SKU# that has an 02 in it, is an indication it is A02.       :P

Exactly what happened to me with Newegg. I sent the first one back before I even knew about A01, it just had some dead pixels. It wasn't until my 2nd Newegg order I learned about A01 then returned it again...I believe everyone who orders it from Newegg is getting A01 as in the specs section it says no to HDCP. I'm thinking twice from using Newegg anymore they've gone downhill in many ways in my opinion.

I fully agree with this - ever since they started trying to be in competition with Amazon having "Premier" and the marketplace full of junk...  Amazon is Amazon because of their 2-day Prime shipping and outstanding customer service.  With the Egg Premiere is 3-day and that ASSUMES they ship the same day you order which hasn't happened for me multiple times.

Monitor is here today but I won't be able to set it up until later as I've got family over today, but I thought I would post now. It says A03 and March 2016 on the box which must be even newer than the A02. Hoping for no defects or bad pixels, I'll post back again when I've got it up and running.

My experience with this monitor has not been great. I ordered mine last week and even though I'm on A02 and I have no dead pixel and no anti-glare issues. My monitor buzzes when ever its set to 60hz. Now I have already done an exchange through Best Buy for the same model thinking it was just bad luck. But the second one is doing the same. it has a low buzz when every you set the refresh to 60HZ. Now ive noticed the buzz goes away when at 144hz or if while at 60hz if i turn up the brightness just a few notches the buzzing stops. So im not sure whats causing this however I am going to probably return it. I just need to find something comparable and  around the same price. And unfortunately I bought it with a Best Buy store credit so I'm limited to their small selection of highend monitors. Anyhow Id be interested to know if anyone else is having the same buzzing issues Im having?

Interestingly enough I looked and I have an A01 (Oct '15) and A02 (Jan '16) monitor which both obviously work with HDCP.  My best guess is that because mine are refurbished models that the LCD and boards were switched out to the newer revision while leaving the original sticker in-tact as I can tell for sure I have the "light" AG coating on both.

Alright so I've got it up and there's definitely less AG coating so I don't see any of that "sparkly" residue that was on the previous one and is HDCP compliant. My minor issue is there is a slight electrical buzzing coming from the back of the monitor where it's plugged in, it gets less worse if you play around with the brightness. I'm wearing headphones most of the time so I'm not too bothered by it. And unfortunately I can see what looks like one small green dot the size of a pixel but it's not a stuck pixel as I can only see it against a black background so I have no idea what it is. Since I'd never notice it in games I think I can live with that. I don't usually like to settle with any panel defect but after taking apart 3 of these things I think this is as good as it's gonna get for me.

Also I had a little trouble installing the thing. I couldn't initially boot with the DP cable my motherboard would angrily beep at me and I'd have no display. I had to boot with HDMI the first time, then once at the desktop switch out the cable to DP to get it to be recognized.

All in all it's better than the previous 2 I got, but still not "perfect" I still feel like I'm gonna end up going with another brand later on but only if the prices go down.

Hmm. When I get mine and go to calibrate it. I always go for the standard of 120cm. Which I know is going to be using a low brightness setting. Example. My current monitor is at 32 brightness 118cm. 33 brightness puts it at 121cm. I would not be able to deal with that buzzing all the time. Will be interesting. Mine shipped today. Wednesday cant get here fast enough. I really REALLY like my current monitor. Only if it was 1440p,144Hz, Gsync. It would be perfect. I had no idea I was going to get a GTX 1080. It just kinda happened. I have only had my current monitor barely over a year.

Yeah I really was hoping for no screen defects but it's a really small one. The buzzing seems to kinda get better at lower brightnesses I have it at 35 right now. Those two issues are a bit of a bummer but oh well I guess. If the buzzing really gets to me I may end up returning it for a different brand entirely but we shall see. I'm interested to see how yours comes in, maybe I'm just super unlucky haha.

I keep my monitor at 144hz so I only hear the buzz for a few seconds after I turn on the monitor. But so far I'm enjoying the monitor just the buzz is kinda a bummer even if it's only in certain scenarios. To have this kind of
Issue on a 500 dollar monitor seems absurd.

Dell seemed to have the least QC issues compared to Acer and Asus. One reason why I did not even consider them. Man. It seems like all of them have some kind of issue major and minor.
