Hello, So I just go this Dell Monitor : http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/accessories/apd/210-agjr?c=us&cs=19&l=en&sku=210-AGJR It is 27" +1440P + G-Sync + 144Hz refresh rate. I love it but the colors are not "punchy." I actually believe it was way to accurate. However, my eyes are used to punchy colors and Super AMOLED displays found on phones. I read online that we can change the colors and gamma settings in nVidia control panel but the question is, will it work in all games without issues? Thank you! *NOTE*I got it from BestBuy today for $479.99 so I thought it was a good deal.

In NVIDIA Control Panel -> Display -> Adjust desktop color settings, you can 'Use NVIDIA settings' for global (across-the board) custom settings or you can use 'Other applications control color settings' which is default..However you want to it and what works best for you. But before you do anything you should first calibrate the monitor itself in Windows..Type 'calibrate' in the Start Menu search box or go to Control Panel -> Color Management -> Advanced -> Calibrate display..If your monitor came with calibration software, you can use that too..There's plenty of info online about monitor calibration and probably from Dell and in your monitor manual too.

Hello and thank you for the reply. I already did change the colors but the thing is, it worked in some games and in some it did not work. For example, In Battlefield 1 and DotA 2, it worked. However, in Call of Duty Black Ops 3, it did not work. Is there a way to force it in all games through nVidia control panel? Thank you!

Other than in Manage 3D settings -> Program settings for individual game settings, not that I know of, and you'd need to adjust within the game itself..The color settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel are across-the-board global settings or as specified in the game/s..Hovering your mouse pointer over practically all NVIDIA Control Panel adjustments will tell you what they do..Digital vibrance will make colors stand out more..That's about all I can tell you.

I don't think anyone is understanding my question. I know how to do all that, it's just I want it to apply in all games not only in certain games.....

Good choice on the monitors - I have 2 of them and I really like em! As far as the color settings I can confirm it's really hit/miss whether they apply in games or not. It's a gripe a lot of people over the net have and it seems to be largely dependent on finding a driver version where it works correctly. This also happens with ICC profiles as well as the NV control panel settings.

They don't have "software" outside of a "driver" that is just an INF file that corrects the name and an ICC profile.

No I did not. But the device manager recognize it and it is NOT "plug and play" monitor. I tried going to Dell's website to download the drivers but they dont have any and I heard it is no longer needed in the newer revision monitors. Mine is Revision A03.

It is not that I cant calibrate it. My issue is that my calibrations are not being applied in all games.

One question that I really still dont know the answer to. Do I enable V-Sync in game and G-Sync in nVidia CP? Or if I enable G-Sync in NVCP then I have to disable the V-Sync in games? I personally find running G-Sync and V-sync in games to be smoother.

I am not talking about the .inf file or device setup file. On the DVD that came with your Monitor is the Software to Control the Settings on the Monitor.

Wow, I did not know that. I will give it a try. But why is it not available on Dell's website? Why when I enter my service tag, nothing shows up?! Thanks anyways.

You want - G-Sync - ON, Vsync - ON (in Nvidia Panel), and Vsync - OFF (in games). This way lets Nvidia control panel worry about Vsync and it only enables it if the game exceeds your monitor's refresh rate. So from 30fps-144fps it uses G-Sync but above 144 it disables g-sync and turns on v-sync (to avoid tearing). Basically they should call it frame rate cap instead of V-Sync (in the control panel setting) as you can't have V-Sync and G-Sync run at the same time since V-Sync is not variable. One thing you CAN do to get the color settings to stick is to run the game in border-less windowed mode instead of Fullscreen - and make sure G-Sync is enabled for windowed and fullscreen mode... Again not all games support this either.

bcavnaugh On my disk on the file monitor.htm under Dell Display Manager Installation the file name is (CD Drive):/ddm/ddmsetup.exe At least on mine. http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=9YJ4T http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/peripherals/f/3529/t/19644210 So this changes the settings of the monitor on the hardware side and not the software side? So basically this will have to apply to all games correct?
Not compatible with S2716DG AFAIK. FYI - from nVidia: "Please note that some games and applications will override calibrations and Control Panel tweaks. To workaround this problem, you can try CPKeeper and Color Sustainer." http://www.geforce.com/wh...calibrate-your-monitor
Husky_ So the V-Sync in nVidia control panel acts as a frame rate limiter and the one in game act as a full V-Sync?
Correct - NVCP one only enables V-Sync if you go over 144Hz. If you turn the one in game on it will lock the monitor to 30/60/120/144Hz and not allow it to be variable.
I am not as fast as you are at typing
Wait so which V-Sync I enable at the NVCP? There are so many types!
