Purchased eligible card and can enter code on nVidia site. Selected game and get a pop-up to link to Uplay. Even when I am signed into both EVGA and Uplay, keep getting message that the accounts cannot be linked.  Please advise.

Why do you need to link EVGA and uplay? I have not messed with this promotion, just trying to understand to be able to help.

Nvidia and uplay should be where you are connecting, maybe it needs you to sign in again when you select the game on the Nvidia site?

Sooo how long do I have to wait for the invoice to be approved. been a week now

I wish I'd waited to register my GPU. I've been wanting Rise of the Tomb Raider since I heard about it. I still haven't touched the game I got with my 980 FTW.
If only I'd waited.

Registration doesnt change eligibility, it's based off of purchase date.

Amazon and Nvidia state that the code goes to the person that purchases the item, so you may need to check your email and receipt. If you bought it, amazon would normally send you the code in an email or digital format. If you purchased it as a gift item, I am not sure how it would work, so you should contact amazon since they would have the code for that card.

Amazon tells me "tough cookies...that promotion is no longer valid"...guess I'm out of luck. (stupid that a colloquialism can't even be used, imo)

No, it is a Nvidia promotion, and is on the NVIDIA website. You bought your friend a Titan X:

It's Nvidia... sadly, it's becomin normal that they don't do promotions for their higher end cards. I can't explain why.

Buy a quadro, tesla or any other card, and you don't get anything either. I have no idea why they don't include a game with the Titan line, but I can't think of a promotion that did include them off the top of my head.

Okay then.
Weirdly enough this makes me feel better. Before it felt that if I waited, I would've gotten the game. Which meant that I missed out because I lacked patience. Your reply tells me that even if I waited, I still wouldn't get the game.
Nothing would change.
So I can stop feeling bad about it. Guilt no longer has a place in my mind.

I was about to say next time I'm upgrading I'll wait for a good bundle but that would be ridiculously backward. Need GPU buy GPU. Not want game buy GPU.
