I've got another rig online. Should give out at least around 20k PPD, so that puts my output to around 70k PPD. But it will only be temporary for the time being. I can handle 50k PPD, and I can crank out more, but that requires more rigs to be fired up. Preferably to keep it down to two rigs for the long endurance over the month.

Im dropping 47-52K PPD(rig1) +20K(gpu)+-2-3K(rig 2) that puts me at about 73K - I projected 62K (55k is my previous projection before I pm'd troy)..so how did I get 70?

I'll see what I can find out when I'm off work.... It just went down while I was on my lunch break.... I've done just about everything I know to do other than restarting the system.... Restarted the gpu, stopped all clients and restarted that.... Haven't tried to see if it'll crunch....

its a problem with the client(oddly it doesn't seem to matter which client). i haven't heard of any problems for anyone running bionic. you might try a fresh install though. it literally took me all of 30 secs to reconfigure tracker after i fresh installed it. it fixed my "machine unstable" problem
ASUS P9x79 Pro with Intel I7 3930k 4.2 Ghz, Dual EVGA GTX 580s SLI I use Bionic to help save the world while I'm sleeping, watching TV, or pretty much doing anything but gaming on my PC.

I just had another hardware idea. I'm going to remove the GTX470 from Crystal and put the GTX560 back in it. Then I'm going to take the 9800GT in Kara which is not being used at the moment and place it in Quartz, replacing the GTX560 which I transfered to Crystal. This should give a boost of 4.5k PPD and 8 WU/day. Wheres the GTX470 I only let it do 1 WU a day because of the heat produced and noise.

I noticed a weird thing when I swapped the GTX560 around. Before it would get 16k PPD. I moved it to Quartz and it jumped to 19k PPD. Today, I did another swap and moved it back to Crystal, and now its pulling 19k PPD. The only difference in setup in Crystal was the GTX560 was moved from slot 1 PCIe 16x to the second slot. Also had all three PCIe 16x filled at the beginning, which now I only have the first two filled. Did the difference in 8x & 16x PCIe make that much change? I know when the three PCIe are filled, it becomes 16x-8x-8x, but now its 16x-16x with only two filled.

the ppd is estimated eg if you fold this wu over and over you will get this ppd. chances are its just working on different wus. my estimated ppd rises and falls from 63000ppd to 82000 ppd depending on the combinations of wus i have at any given time, but overall its pretty stable.

I would say it's just the different in the current project and it point value, you happened to be folding. My GTX 580 FAH GPU Tracker estimated PPD will jump from like 19K to current 25,940 (with Project 8033 at 3843 points).

Sort of what I was thinking. HP needs to shutdown those HPTC clients. We Dragons need to rally up and start breathing fire at our competition.

I could always set the rest of my instances up for folding.... But it'll only pull in about another 30k....
So there aren't any partial points for going over now?

Nice.... So far none of my instances have been deleted, 20gb on both regions.... But there is still time.... I would imagine they would go after the accounts way over the limit first.... If they're all still up when I get home I might set them up.... They're crunching right now....

If i had more hardware to fold on i would. I was initially running just a 9800GTX+. I just fired up my GTX260 as well which will double my poor output.

yeah, its really dumb how some people just add 4 machines after the contest starts and we are expected to either match that or call it quits. OS tweaks, overclocking, even hardware changes only get you so far. I "normally" only fold 12 hrs a day, i signed up to run 24/7 to help evga with their 700M goal, so how can I magically do 500% more?

well, my rigs are down. My temporay helper i7 2600 will finish its WU today. The FAH Tracker is screwing up the GPU folding on Crystal (i7 930). So I got to let the SMP finish and do a clean install. And because the Tracker was screwing up the GPU, the GTX560 wasn't folding through the night. This leaves me with only the i7 2600k (Quartz) to do SMP folding. Which also can't go past 3.4GHz because of a BIOS glitch. And the 9800GT that I installed in it, turned it off because the fan was too loud and the high-pitched capcitor whinning noise kept me awake when sleeping. Kind of a rough start this morning.

Sounds like quite a few of us are having issues ... I lost half my SMP folding capacity almost from the get - go and never have figured out why I can't pull the smaller GPU WUs from Stanford. My average points per WU shows that: Jan - 1892 / WU Feb - 2044 / WU Mch - 3759 / WU Although I'm still able to hit pretty close to my PPD projection, I am way off on the WU per day estimate. I am going to switch out some parts and do an OS resinstall to see if I can get my 2600k back in the contest ... hopefully this weekend. If so, I might still be able to at least hit that 110 / day number ... maybe a bit more if I can get some good luck for a change. Fold on ...

I must have had a brief power outage while I was at work today. The 2600 was shut down, but Crystal & Quartz were still running. Got to love battery backup on some of these days. Making the 2600 use its GTX560 Ti for a little point boost, since my GTX560 Ti was mostly done all night & day. Once Crystal finishes this SMP WU, fresh install of GPU Tracker. Willyray, do you have the advmethod box checked? I unchecked mine to get more WU for the same PPD valve. This way, I could get a little boost in contest points.

no luck folding on my gtx260. The driver keeps crashing and it's failing WU's left and right. Stock clocks, Briefly OC'd last year for the chimp challenge. It's also my main GPU and i need my desktop for school so i'm sure me working on it while it's folding just makes it mad. Back down to folding on just a 9800GTX+. I have an e8400 lying around, just no motherboard to put it in.

Thanks for checking, but, they're unchecked (no pun intended) ... on two rigs (4 GPUs) and they will not pull anything other than a 8xxx WU when a month ago I was able to churn through the 6xxx series WUs. It's not the only problem ... I think the OC has screwed up some things and I may need an OS reinstall now that the OC is stable. It's the first time an OC has done this ... and it happened to both rigs at almost the same time. I was told to be wary using a RAID volume when overclocking and it may have bitten me ... my folding software and logs are on the RAID instead of the SSD and the system BSOD'd while folding, took down my network (no HFM), and now one rig's 2600k can't get more than around 3,000 PPD . I'm going to to fold for Jeffrey Ham tomorrow and try to get the sick 2600k back up to speed sometime this weekend ...

Found one of my main problems. The Nvidia 295 driver finally bit my PC. Started that whole shut down CUDA thing when the display power offs. Reverted back to 285 and now the GPU is folding 24/7 again.
