I have the one with the front I/O panel. It's easier to plug in my headset to the front of the PC, rather than getting it plugged into the back of the PC every time, which is a hassle for me, with the way the desk, and PC are set up.

same here, actually they all have front panel hd headers, the connectors look different on some (more pins) but any factory case connector will work

nice!!!  I have a similar front panel that came with one of my older cards, plug my ax in to it, till I blew the speakers out! Sounds great on the headphones thou. I dont know why they split that Zx into 2 cards unless they just couldn't get all the hardware on to one pcb. but I wont give up my TOS Link, so I would have to use both if I got that version, the other Zx    >>>> " Z" dont know why i keep saying Zx, I have has tos but not all the good stuff that one has. The specs look great on it, but the Fatality Pro I have now ( just like yours, without the front panel) works great for now!
 
edit: If I did get it, would put a front panel on it rather than the desktop knob thing it comes with, looks like there are 3  connectors, 1 for the daughter board (no pci connection) 1 for the Knob thing and/or 1 for a front panel could be 2, whats held me back is the price!
