So my Corsair HX850W failed for a second time. First time was when the green startup wire had a bad connection and would only turn on when it was bent a certain way. I RMA'd the PSU 1 month ago and received a brand-new one in return.
Now, the LED4 light next to the 24-pin connector on my P55 FTW just flashes constantly. I verified that the PSU is the problem by using my spare OCZ GameXStream 700W to make sure that it wasn't the motherboard or CPU that failed (to think that I was about to sell it off in the Marketplace when it has proven itself to be more reliable than my 2 Corsairs). Although the PSU passes the paper clip test like Corsair advises, the motherboard won't recognize the PSU as anything but faulty. So now I have to strip out the Corsair and put in my OCZ until I decide what to do with the now-dead PSU.
I've heard of Corsair's HX line of PSUs to be one of the best and most reliable units out there (hence why I shelled out $180 for it 1 year ago to replace my ultra-reliable OCZ that I payed $125 for 4 years ago), but for it to die less than 1 month after receiving it as a replacement for the other faulty one which also showed problems early on during its life, that's just bad and wrong (badong anybody?

). I expect events like that from those $20 units that you can get from Newegg, but not from a company that prides itself on building some of the best PSUs in the market and offers a 7 year warranty as proof of their confidence.
Sorry, just had to rant. Anybody else have a similar experience they would like to share, or perhaps some input on my situation (maybe even a Corsair rep to help me out here)?
