For those of you running Collatz, this Project has been Down for 48hrs now.
No info to be found.
Ready WU's are uploaded as normal, but have an eye on Your buffers, New WU's will most likely not be added until they are up again.
I suspect the admin is gone again, and the Project will be Down untill he's back over the weekend.

Collatz is notorious for going down. If the point return was not so good with Collatz I suspect a lot of people would have moved on to other mathematics projects by now because of the up and down routine.

I was working on my 100 hours for WUProp with Large Collatz when it went down. I am just 7 hours short of my goal but I am going to leave it alone and work on getting 500k in Milkyway first.

Yes, Collatz is finally up'n running again.
This is the second time since June, they are down.
From what I have learned, I believe the Collatz server(s) are ran by one guy, at his home. So when he's out of town, and bad stuff happen's, the project are down while he's away.
Because of this, I had a 5day buffer. Seems I was credited for the work.
I don't mean to put others in the shadow but...... This was kinda funny:

For the most part I won't Crunch or Fold on my GPU's until late Fall due to power cost from Xcel Energy 3 Tier Cost over the summer months. The heat from GPU's are to great for my Central Air to keep below 85F and my circuit breakers running HOT. While the cost is HIGH to Crunch on the CPU throughout the summer I can take the heat and my circuit breakers only run warm at a cost of about $700 a month. Last year the cost was over $1200 a month over the summer 3 Tier system. I may get far behind in my GPU Projects but that's life. I am running two AMD R2 290X for Folding year around for my Folding Efforts.

I'm aware of the summer break you have given your GPU's. Fully understandable.
When you fire them up again, you stomp all others around
I gave your heat cost some thoughts yesterday, when I paid my electrical bill for June. My country might be crunchers heaven when it comes to electricity cost.
We don't have Air condition in our homes, so my el bill for June was $96,- In winter time, we must heat, so that's when crunching may hurt some.

Well, just for finishing up here..... Finally a word from the admin:
"The gigabit switch was not working for some reason.  A reboot appears to have fixed it for now."

Most likely not as when Late Fall comes around I won't be working and most likely have stop hard core Crunching and Folding on GPUs, they take to much Power or Wattage and I will be starting a Fix Income when I retire in the Fall. Hard Core Crunching cost about $500-$600 a month in the Late Fall Winter Time Frame, now it is costing $700 and mostly on CPUs.
I was hoping that my June bill was going to be less than $600. $734.00 POGS July POTM will be my last stomp
