Me and my buddy recently ordered cold cathodes for our PC's
Since my case is a little bigger, flashier, and better  I ordered a pair of blue and red cathodes. His PC is more black and white theme (I even gifted him a Corsair AF120 with the white accent thingy) So he ordered a pair of white cathodes.

So randomly this idea came to mind. Would it be possible to somehow rig an entire room with cold cathodes on the ceiling sides? Would it be easier to use christmas lights instead? haha

Attached image is my current setup. Main colours: Black, Red, Blue.

Looking back at my modrigs PC.. it feels like years, but it has barely been 2 weeks

If I am right do cathode lights cause your PC to get hotter? Some people were debating it on OC.net that it does. But ya it would be easier with Christmas lights. What I used to use when I had cool lights in my room where my old blue Pilot neon lights that I had in an early car of mine. I use to turn them on when I made love in my room LOL.

I had lights that pulsed like these. What you can do is get the house outlet plug adapter to convert so you can use them in your room.

Basically there where these but in blue which you can find at your local Autozone.

I have cold cathode tubes in my case and they cause no heat at all and give a very nice lighting effect. Mine are blue. The problem with doing a whole room is that they are only 12" long and would need a lot of PSU connectors. I used to use 48" flourescent black lights for my rooms.
Here is an easy way to 'ghetto' rig some colored flourescent lights: http://www.wikihow.com/Add-Color-to-a-Fluorescent-Light

Sigh I WISH I had pulsating lights inside my computer that go to the music!! Do you know how to do something like that?

That ghetto rig is interesting, but it would be similar to just buying one that colour right?
I bought the same cathodes from ncix (they had a sale, so my friend and I just quickly ordered some)
That tubing for fluorescent lights on amazon, is that just the sleeve? how does one attach it and to where? Not sure how that works from the pictures

It looks like you just pop the cap off of the end, slide the light inside, and then put the cap back on it. Just the sleeve. You have to buy your own bulb to put inside.

I'll think about that one after I try out these tubes. I might just have to go with the christmas lights around my room and keep the cathodes in my pc

    Thanks :)
I wasn't 100% sure where to put it since it felt like a random/general question but slowly turned into a modrig question haha
