OK, so I got my hands on a MST hub, hooked up everything, and its works. BUT I only get 3 extended displays and I cant figure any way to span all 3 monitors for surround gaming.  Any ideas? I hope it is just a driver update.

Sorry if this sounds like a basic question - I haven't used an MST hub off of display port.

Within the NVidia Control Panel, does it offer you the option to configure Surround?  Or is the option missing / greyed out or something similar?

Should be able to be addressed via a driver update. Problem is no idea if Nvidia is even aware of what a MST hub even is. They've been behind the curve on DisplayPort for years now. At least it's good to know that it sees the ports in extended mode. That's a start.

BTW, what was the price on the hub? I'm interested in getting one myself. Been keeping an eye on them ever since their paper announcement in 2010. Good to see them finally out on the market.

I also cannot enable surround using the MST hub.
Because of Nvidia's refusal to put multiple display ports on their kepler cards I am forced to use the adapter, but it doesn't work in surround which makes it useless for gaming and many productivity apps. Without surround I cannot maximize things across the 3 screens in portrait mode, etc.

I have tried both the 327.23 and 331.65 drivers and both want me to connect another display even though they both see all of the display port monitors in green.

So after buying a second EVGA GTX 760 it is like I bought a $320+ paper weight.
If this isn't fixed soon then maybe I should sell all of these cards and buy some AMD cards instead...

Looks like a case where it'll work on AMD but not Nvidia again...

Is Surround possible 3-Way SLI with display port using one connection per card?

According to Nvidia that is a supported configuration. They have a diagram of it on their website/surround guide.
I think it is ridiculous that they expect you to purchase 3 graphics cards just to get 3 of the same connectors. Especially when AMD makes cards with 4 DP on one card.

makes you wonder wth they do with their time and money over there.  I know their surround is so inferior to eyefinity its not even funny.  I have a quad sli titan system that i regret wholly due to surround being so buggy.  In ffxiv i get 25fps right now becuase the sli just wont work in surround.  cant use bezel correction or it hard locks.  cant change drivers without turning off surround or it will boot to a black screen which forces a reformat because you cant get into safe mode without being IN windows (award for brightest design decision goes to microsoft on that one)

Anyhow, did you ever get this sorted?  I'm super curious as not only am i looking for other options to get my rig working properly, but i am on the cusp of building another one and im going with amd this time (mostly due to the aforementioned) and I need to be able to run atleast 4 (preferebly 8) displays off the 1 rig (several cards is an option but depending on $$ may be ideal to use it elsewhere, specially considering the cost of many displays)

    yes.

I use 1 connection per card w/ 4 way.  Has me skip the 3rd card (which is the second the way they count it)

but in windows 8 the displays are labled incorrectly 1 is 3 etc not to mention the other surround issues.  beware! (especially if u play ffxiv! :P)
