Well, I was wondering if it might have something to do with having a Classified with the NF200. I don't know. [edit] Super Pi jumps all over the place, tho. Your evaluation is about what I would expect, plus or minus..

Nice read. Lots of crap the last couple pages before these. At least I am not the only jerk on this forum. For what it is worth, I wanted to comment on the template deal. I don't share the same ideals regarding templates that some people do. I do not feel like it is my private possession or my winning entry. I don't fear that someone may copy my template and steal the glory. I thought we were all here to help one another out, not fight for the top spot. There is no top spot. The people on top are the people who everyone respects and the people who will turn the other cheek to e tards and go on in a respectful manner to help others while ignoring the fire burning against them. What is with all the hate in this thread? Back on topic.... For me, I don't think sharing templates is a good idea. As I stated, not because I am afraid someone will steal my "work". No, because I don't want to lead someone astray by having them overclock "my way" when they may find a better way. Also, every chip is different and every board is different. Sure you can find envelopes where generally a CPU will run happily, but that envelope of settings is never the best. The best setting will always require lots of sweat, tears, and sleepless nights since it will require optimizing for YOUR hardware.

I am trying both ways...up the roof and back to the rear...atm am trying the former way, which doesn't seem to be helping a lot...due to GPU heat being sucked in - maybe...!! later on i will be trying the regular style i.e. push towards the rear fan...!!

Speaking of SuperPi, I want to know how you got 9.0 at 4.315GHz. I have to go to 4.462 to get down to 9.062, mem speed 1680, 7-8-7-21. Mysteries, I say, mysteries. I saw that expedision had a different version of super pi....so I went and got it and my calcs are now 9.45 apparently there is a rounding issue eith the version I was using before... new pi link

Ok so I have to ask...what is Super Pi? And what does it do/purpose? I have never heard of it so I am in question... @Chronic - it all depends on what YOU use your computer for...most people will tell you HT off because they do not use programs that utilize the HT of the i7 whereas other people will tell you, (like I will) that they keep it on just as a mental notation that you are getting everything out of the processor. What I guess im trying to say is, if you NEED it, use it...If you DONT need it, then it becomes a personal preference... @EVERYONE ON THIS THREAD...again, I apologize for the inconvenience of not updating the list, but as you all know my mobo was KIA which is now on an RMA mission...I have a classy on the way...I had to pull the trigger on it. So I should be up and running again by beginning of next week when everything comes in. Again, I apologize, but PLEASE don't let that stop you from posting the screenies and your new results for those of you already on the list. I give you my word that I promise I will get you all updated accurately and as quickly as I can when Murphy leaves my damn house and allows me to carry on with my life. Take care everyone... SimC

It seems my favorite thread needed a little loving...hurry and come back sim, so I can be on the list and get my badge, dont wanna have to steal it and be a pretentious b*stard. But to add something of worth so this doesn't seem like a totally selfish bump, I've brought my loaded temps down below 80*C on all cores by tweaking the voltages a little. Next a baseclock height and hopefully a lower multi. Everyone says this works wonders... Oh...sorry I keep forgetting to grab my batch #...again I promise it will be up soon, I forgot a lot of things since it was Thanksgiving yesterday.

Thanks expedision and rludwic!!! it was a very painful achievement....finally I made it...!! thanks a lot!! now i am moving up for 4.3GHz... ....seems this addiction is going to be a never-ending-overclocking-saga!! my idle temps is not 51 its actually high-mid 40's. i had to put 51 becoz it was 51 in the picture file...i forgot why it was high...??? Oh yeah...I accidentally reset the real temp figures whilst the stress was going!!!
