*UPDATED* !!!

Alright well I finally got it updated!!! I apologize for the time away. I have been working on graduating from LSU this year so Ive been tied up pretty well. I had to add over like 30-40 I think so check and make sure that I have you in there correctly. PM or post what I forgot or who I forgot to add and apologies in advance. Ill get ya in there ASAP. Some of you I either couldn't read the screenshot cause it was too small or you didn't run the test with the problem size of 25k. I hope to see a re-post of an updated run! Hope everyone is doing well! Take care!

Thank you SimC!   I'm back in 3rd baby and on a nice day too...just joined HWBOT and picked up #1 in Canada for 2x GPU with my X-fired 5850s, #2 overall among 2x GPU 5850s (really #1 and by a hefty margin too if the current #1 was not using a 980X chip), and #26 global 2x GPU rank

Load temps: 82/78/81/76
Idle temps: 40/35/41/36

Going to lower my voltages and try again for lower idle temps.

Here is a link to the picture of my desktop.  I would have attached the photo, but the file was too big and I did not want my pic to be small like the others.

Edit: I was able to do another set up with the same clock but using 1.317v and 78/75/77/72 temps under load.

Intel Core i7 930 (3001A125)
4010.02 MHz @1.317v
Load temps: 78/75/77/72
Idle temps: 40/35/41/36

I'm sure I could get it higher, but for what I do this is more than enough speed.

Hi everyone. I just passed my 20 Linx test at 4010.0 Mhz. I can't insert my print screen for proof. How do I insert my print screen, it keeps asking for a url.

thanks.

You need to upload the image to someplace like Imageshack to host the image or you can attach the image directly to the boards as long as the image isn't over 500Kb.

If you use Imageshack you will get a url from that site that you can post on the boards using BBCode.

Thank you GWill80! That helps a lot. I originally thought that the Idle temps was supposed to be just the minimum what real temp read out. However, I see that a lot of others idle temps are not the minimum real temp read out.

My average idle temps are about 40-50c. I am going to try and lower that because I am trying to have this a 24/7 OC, and that is a little too high for me...what do you all think? Anyone have some suggestions on how I can lower the temps?  Here is my volts:

By the way my ambient temp is 23-24c.

Here is my screen shot with the required info:

Thanks for any and all help, and I am proud to be here with you all!

I submitted it with screen shot and everything but it seems it has been taken down, I cant find my post anymore. Why is this? I thought this was i7 thread not 920 thread. I will bench again today and break the highest HT on score and we will see if you update it and post it. If not....Its the same old story and We will not return here anymore. Just think it was rude to take away my post and record........
Whats up???????

It was never determined whether to add a 980x section. So I'ld imagine that he by passed your 980x submission for that reason. It's not like some great prize is envolved. Why such a need to be noticed in #1 spot?

Do you guys think it is safe to run 4ghz 24/7 ?
I want 4.0ghz so with 20x cpu qpi multiplier I would be able to get 2000mhz in my corsair dominator gt. What do you guys think ? Safe ? My e760 is under watercooler in everything: northbridge, southbridge and mosfet, but Brazil is a very hot country so this is not so much effective as in Europe temperatures.

PS: my cpu is 920 D0.

Thanks for pointing that out. I just updated the list everyone. Again, I do make mistakes so if you see a mistake in there with your name or anything else sticks out just let me know.

And about the 5.0 custom...I asked everyone if they wanted me to make a section for that and I do not remember ever getting a suggestion for it. So ill ask again, do you guys want me to make a section for those? Or any other idea? Let me know. Thanks again...

On another note, Im trying to get 4.5 but I think I may need to split the rig into 2 instead of 1...temps are a lil too high.

Take Care

It's perfectly fine as long as you have sufficient cooling and you know the chip is stable.

As for the temperature of Brazil, yes it is hot there, but you have to look at the ambient temp of the room you will have the computer sitting in.  If the average temp in your computer room was 70 degrees F you would be fine, but if it were 100 degrees F on average then that would be a bit extreme.

Either way your computer can handle it since you have water cooling as you say.
