wxchaser...Nice to see another 3845b in the forum!

Thanks bud - I find this chip loves low voltage.  Just installed an H50 yesterday with push/pull using 38mm Ultra Kaze and 25 mm Corsair fan (the fans were too thick for me to install both Ultra Kaze's).  Used AS5 instead of the Shin Etsu on the H50 and still burning in. I've booted into Windows at 4.3 GHz but today just tried to see what I could do at 1.20 volts on the Vcore.

Of course. A batch can have thousands. Depends on how many platters are lasered in a given run.

I technically qualify to post here, although my overclock failed in Linx after 22 runs had been completed. I'll likely bump up cpu vtt before I test again.

Thanks, for what I assume to be a male dominated forum (please don't shoot me if I'm wrong), there seems to be a distinct lack of women in the desktop backgrounds.

I was obviously hoping to find that Linx had finished the 100 passes successfully, so that I could focus on tightening up the timings on my ram. The timings are very loose at the moment so that I can hopefully eliminate memory problems from the picture.

Thanks  I decided to do a quick run this morning while I was testing my GPU

I gave up on 44 BIOS.  To buggy for me.  S3 does not work correctly (changes CAS to CAS 11 regardless on what is set in the BIOS, e.g., if DRAM is set to 6-7-6 before S3 after S3 it will be 11-7-6).  Also problems with setting DRAM 2:10 multiplier, and I am sure there are others that I did not even bother discovering.

SimC33, before ya give up on your mem ya might want to try a different bios than the 44
I also found it very buggy when ocing

After a sleepless night of stability testing I forgot to include the notepad text in my screenshot.

However, this was just to get to the 4.0Ghz plateau first as my goal is 4.2GHz.

Voltages are still a work in progress but I wanted to throw it out there anyways if it helps anyone.

Disappointed with how much vcore this chip required to get past 4.0, wondering if I got a dud, but this is my first I7 920 so I'm not sure.

The H50 seems to be working pretty well, I have the radiator mounted on the top of my HAF932, and when I switched the push/pull fans from intake to exhaust, it dropped 5c off my load temps.

I haven't been back to this place in 4.5 months, so it's good to
see all the new OC's happening, albeit with some BIOS and
other stuff I am not familiar with...it's all good.

HalloweenWeed--nice moniker!

I see you've got some RAM in the mix, so good to see that also...
12GB is no easy thing to get stable and fast both. Now get it up
there close to mine and you'll be stylin'.

Wow, 1.35V, huh? Mine's going that fast at 1.26875V. With 12GB even.

Main (gaming) rig: i7-3930K; Asus Rampage IV Extreme; H100 W/p-p Excaliburs, AS5; MSI 7870 2GD5/OC; Crucial M4 SSD 256GB.
See my primary ModsRigs: Adam for the rest, and I have a second (wife's) rig Asus Rampage III Extreme & 960: Eve.

Overclocking is useless to me if it is not rock stable.

I'd be rather shocked if you were running 1.26875 with Vdroop ON.  There are some great OCing guides on these forums explaining exactly what Vdroop does and doesn't do.  Anyways... Thanks for your 2 cents... again.
