I sent eppopipe my template and told him he might need to add a little Vcore

Overclocker i am a service manager for a commerical hvac company, very interested in your homemade chiller. Looks like you have a given me very nice idea on cooling. How many btu's is the a/c your using?

Mine is 7500 btu but I think 5000 btu still works nice.

I surprise that no one makes chillers in a computer case form factor... ala VapoChill and Cooler Express.   I think there is a huge market for that.  The only thing there is right now is aquarium chillers like "johnksss" and others use.

So I was running some 4.75GHz stress testing today and got the strangest error ever...the screen loses the full color and turns either 8-bit or locks up in R or B in primary RGB color spectrum (3 colors).  It's the most weird thing.  I think that my video card may be barfing at high BCLK or something...I have no other explanation...

Thoughts?  I feel like at the moment this is the only hurdle stopping me from crossing into the mid 4.7s.

I just duplicated this. A IOH bump fixed it.

Sure would like to ask you some questions after christmas if you don't mind(money). I wonder how cold we could get them with a 800 ton Trane centrifugal chiller

When you run your clock at 225, are you raising your PCIE clock and upto what if you are? Are you increasing vdimm and vtt along with vtt and cpu pwm? Are you increasing qpi pll and ioh pll and a little bit on ioh vcore?

Thanks for the advice but yes, I am already manipulating all of those values.  The PCI-E I need to go past 225MHz BCLK is only 102MHz (normally I use 101MHz).  Amount of VTT and Vdimm is not directly proportional to BCLK.  That's a common misconception.  It is absolutely not necessary to crank up your VTT and Vdimm to get higher BCLKs.  These are pretty much purely related to Uncore clocks.  PWM frequency for me has absolutely no effect up to the stable(ish) BCLKs I was testing (~228MHz).  CPU PLL and IOH PLL run at 1.5V normally which is better for higher BCLK and Uncore in general.  However, I did try increasing this to no apparent effect.  Increasing QPI PLL and IOH voltage however did seem to make some difference though I did not feed enough volts it seems.  I need to do more testing come Monday or something.

All in all my video card is notoriously unreliable as is (shuts off randomly because of some power problem) so I am not expecting it to be the most reliable at high clocks...who knows...maybe I will try my ATI instead

Thanks for that observation!  As you can see in the comment above I did try IOH bump and it appeared to make some difference.  However, it looks like I need to go higher on the bump...1.25V is apparently not enough   It's very funny because up to 225MHz BCLK I can pretty much run IOH at stock 1.1V and nothing needs to be touched at all except for Vcore (VTT and Vdimm only to scale with DRAM and Uncore increases).  2MHz of BCLK later and I need >1.25V...that's messed up.  Still worth popping in my ATI just in case.

@ dejanh  I had to bring IOH to 1.225 on my 758 board the air cooled one. Perhaps a bump in NF200 voltage will help, I found on my 759 board that helped video O/C. On another note in my AMD rig with an inadequate PSU I would get a similar problem as yours when over clocking both gpu and cpu , was lack of power thing  higher wattage psu fixed it.

I already have a 1000W PSU that's decent...I doubt the draw is that high really.  I'll test out a few more things this coming week and post back

Thanks for giving me some ideas to try though

ROFL.... well in all truth... I think some smaller units set up in a multi cascade would do better.  But I'm sure it could handle any heat load unlike the Vapochills and that new kid on the block OCZ phase unit.

Alrighty everyone!!!! I have returned to the thread to update it and get everything straight in here again!

Been about a month now that I havent had a mobo or computer but I finally just pulled the trigger and got a classy board and am sending the LE in for the RMA...

At any rate, I have final exams this week so in my LITTLE BIT of spare time I will take a break and get the list updated little by little then post it when its all complete.

I am THRILLED to see this has gotten so far and glad to see that people are still bettering their OC's.

NOW...speaking of OC's...I thought maybe Id ask in here before anywhere else. But since I have the classy board now, I am going to bump up my hopes of being able to get the 4.4-4.5 clock that I want. BUT...I have NO IDEA what to change on this template because of all the new features on it. So if someone could post or PM me a template of 4.4 or 4.5  OC on the classy board I would appreciate it while I get caught up on the new features and updating the list. Thanks everyone. I look forward to seeing the suggestions and trying to reach my goal!
