Run it at 24500 for a min then stop. This will usually free up a bit of RAM then try 25000. Also kill unnecessary processes in taskmgr.

kitfit1 overclocker333 ShockTheMonky HalloweenWeed How can the core temps not rise and fall when stress-testing? Is it bc the core temps are actually colder than the sensor detects (out-of-range)? Give that man a cigar! Note his sig. He's running Phase. If those temps are from a SS phase... I want the name of the builder and evaporator head!!! Seems to me those would be temps from a cascade, dice or ln2!!! In any case... looks like I will have to get back to benching to get my #1 spot back... LOL. :) The builder was me, the evap head was made by Piotres. Full build log is here. No it's not a Cascade or Dice or LN2. Just a very powerfull SS that took a lot very carefull building and planning, not to mention quite some time in tuning. Thanks for the build log "K"! That is an incredible SS!!! Is yours the 1st with that much heat removal or have there been others... gotta get over to XS to check out things... I've been gone from overclocking for about 6 months now... I have three i7 980x chips coming in this week and picking up a cheap dual evaporator head SS too. Also going to build a water chiller out of some low temp compressors I picked up for cheap from eBay. XS is the place for info on phase change for sure.

hawkeyeusmc soooo. do i pass the test or did i do something wrong as in the posting procedure? I can't speak for SimC33, but I think there is a 99.99% chance he will put you on the rolls. Yes, it looks to me like you made it, just barely (as I). BTW, you should raise your IOH to 1.15Vcore, or at least 1.1 as this year's BIOSes do so. It might stave-off the USB failure prob.

Once you have the prob, adjusting doesn't always work. I'd guess there is about a 25% success rate of the adjustment helping. It is almost as if some boards become damaged and therefore the adjustment doesn't work. Kinda like if you don't have enough oil in the engine, and it seizes up. Too late to add oil.

^^^^^^ eyecrave reaad the below rule but well done on getting 3.8 just push it a little further 6. The i7 MUST be OC'd to 4.0Ghz or above. (Those of you who have 3.8,3.9 etc...I encourage you to reach the goal of 4.0 and enjoy the process of getting yourself there.)

Why can't I raise memory multiplier higher than 2:8. Using 6gb ram. Now @ bclk 215, uncore 4293. Using bios 74. Even when I set up 2:10 or 2:12 in bios, in OS E-leet shows that it's only 2:8.

Upgraded my cooling so I may decide to try for higher than my score posted here to date... A quick run with Prime95 at 4.2GHz with 25C ambient temperatures. Cooling the system is a single HW Labs BI GTX480 and a HW Labs BI GTX120. CPU is still cooled with a HK Rev3.0 CU and everything is connected in a serial loop with the E759 cooled using the EK FB X58 Classified block and two HD5850 cards in Xfire cooled by Swiftech Komodo FC blocks. Basically same hardware as before just new rads (used to run a single HW Labs BI GTX360 for all of this).

4 GHz doesn't seem like much anymore lol. Maybe we should up it to 4.2-4.5...something that a bit more challenging. Of course I guess 4.0 is much more in range of people who want to stay on air. Then again, I've heard the 930 doesn't really hold much of a candle to the 920 D0.
