I have been planning my next computer my way too long. I'll be getting my first job shortly, and after a couple of months of saving I'll be ready to build. The main goal I have with this computer is to make it last as long as possible. I'll be getting the latest NVIDIA GPU, and a 4790K, but I'm very concerned with the ability to expand, being able to throw in another GPU or two, putting in some more RAM, and extra storage is key. However I want the best noise/performance cooling. Right now that seems to be the Noctua NH-D15 for the CPU cooler. The only 1150 socket board with a PLX that Noctua lists as fully compatible with the NH-D15 is the Z87 Classified from EVGA. However the Z97 version is not listed as compatible, and the CPU socket/PCIe slot layout seems to be identical. Can anyone conform the compatibility of the NH-D15 and the Z87 Classified? Keep in mind that I want to be able to use the top slot for the GPU. If I can't (and I add an additional GPU later) either the top card will be suffocated by the bottom card, or the bottom card will be suffocated by PSU in the case I want.

This is the build I'm considering:  | I know, Corsair PSU, but I already have it.

I have been a fan of EVGA for two years as I got my first High End gaming GPU from them two years ago, and it has served me very, very well. The great customer service and warranties are very nice too.

I reccon The CORSHAIR H100i cooler can meet your needs also in terms of expantion,
but most important in terms of perfomance.Keep in mind those CPU's
    suffer from high temps.my 4770K runs clocked 4.3Ghz @ 44-45celsious, ambient 21c.
The CPU thermal compount has been ofcource replaced with MX5.

I forgot to mention that you have to sucrifice the one, yes, the one onboard USB header.
H100i needs to be connected that manner. So if planning having USB Front Case Ports Active
the i version is not suitable for you there is  H100 with no corshair link feature.

You didn't mention the case you are using, but if you have room for a 280mm Rad. I recommend the Corsair H110.
