I never had a problem with PayPal but for anyone who did there is a class action suit against PayPal and you may qualify to be awarded damages. I didn't know where else to put this. I suppose it would belong in the Market Place too.

NOTICE OF CLASS-ACTION SETTLEMENT. THIS NOTICE MAY AFFECT YOUR RIGHTS. PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY.

A settlement has been reached in a class action in which the plaintiffs allege, among other things, that PayPal improperly handled disputed transactions on PayPal accounts and improperly placed holds and reserves on accounts or closed or suspended accounts. Plaintiffs also allege that PayPal failed to provide annual error-resolution notices and monthly account statements under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act.

You are a member of the Settlement Class if you had an active PayPal account between April 19, 2006 and Nov. 5, 2015. Certain Settlement Class Members who had a hold or reserve placed on their account and/or who had their account closed or suspended by PayPal are eligible to receive a monetary payment upon submission of a valid claim form.

This notice summarizes the proposed settlement. For the precise terms and conditions of the settlement, please see the Settlement Agreement available at http://www.accountholdsettlement.com/ or by visiting the office of the Clerk of the Court for the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, 1301 Clay Street, Oakland, CA 94612, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Court holidays.

PLEASE DO NOT TELEPHONE THE COURT OR THE COURT CLERK'S OFFICE TO INQUIRE ABOUT THIS SETTLEMENT OR THE CLAIM PROCESS.

Wasn't there someone here who took several PayPal payments for the same video boards and then shipped empty boxes? Wouldn't the buyers of those empty boxes have a legitimate complaint if PayPal disputed their claim?

    Thanks a lot Zuhl.

Years ago Paypal reopened my closed account to put a negative balance on it (a buyer on eBay did a charge back on his credit card after the item was delivered and signed by him. The money had also been transferred to my bank account and the Paypal account was closed. Since they couldn't get the money back from him nor from my bank account, they reopened my Paypal account and put a negative balance on it). To this day they won't close the account nor take the reserve/suspension out of it for me to use it.

I only signed up for PaPal so I could sell my extra hardware on eBay. Low and behold, right after I signed up for PayPal there was an announcement about user data being hacked from eBay. That's just my luck. The only place that PayPal came in handy was in the EVGA Marketplace but I only made one sale and one purchase. A friend of mine is having a hard time getting the radiators he paid for and the seller keeps changing his story. He received the case he paid for but not the radiators. My friend is reluctant to leave a bad review on his Heatware account while I am looking forward to a 'road trip' to pick up these radiators in person. I'm not sure if the seller anticipated this response but I am only a few hours away whether he realizes it or not.

I have not had any issues with Paypal.  If anything, just the opposite.  I have done online transactions through Paypal, where I have had to go to them to contact the vendor.  Always worked out fine.

I had a hold put on my account long ago and I qualify for the settlement but it is literally like 2 bucks. Not worth my time to dig up the proof for me.

Don't know if you guys remember or not but a few years ago Paypal employees were stealing cc info. I was one of the unlucky victims. Thank god my bank stood behind me and resolved my case. I wouldn't use Paypal to buy water if my ass was on fire and it was the only source.

Class actions like this are only invented to pay lawyers a bulk of the judgement. Not worth anyone's time to participate in.

Sadly this is true but money is money if all you have to do is type a few lines of text. I don't qualify and don't know if it would be worth it if I did but lawyers aren't known for their generosity anyway.

My sister bought a card in the marketplace here & PayPal pulled money from her bank account 3 times . They didn't pay the seller either . Fortunately her bank got involved & quickly put her money back in her account .  That got their attention real quick . Then they wanted to "correct" their error . She finally got the card , I kept the seller informed what was happening thru all the drama . I only use prepaid cards there now after that fiasco .

Some people are happy just to see the company having to pay settlement.  That allows them to get the last laugh on a company.
