I will be there with bells on! Just hope they base their handicap off of last years CC totals. So far 1212 isn't being nice to my family so Can't be a captian but WILL have a thing or two for the prize fund this year.

wrinvert i think drougnor said hes gonna be head cheese?? with some help from you and me. Yup, what he said, Xavier Zepherious. I figure I've cheerleaded the last two, as well as done stats work. Might as well take a turn at some official representation, see how it fits. Again, tho, with a team of our size, the extra hands will definitely be needed, and I'm grateful to have folks willing to help out. d

And I'll have a second cpu running for this when the cpu gets here for it.... My two laptops won't help out much here, so they'll probably just keep on crunching....

do we have a start date yet? it would be a good idea to get some mod approval and start spamming the other topic threads (ie general, gaming, MB, gpu sections) to get people a heads up and get them in the mood and spirit of whats going on. ive been bugging the guys on TS the past few nights just to put a bug in thier ear.

Hmmm. was over at OCN read that the captains already met up last week? don't know how and why without EVGA? http://www.overclock.net/t/1196632/chimp-challenge-2012/30 However, I know that things weren't great last year. The captains met up last week, and we're discussing the changes for this year's event. Once we've got a system we're happy with, we'll take it to our teams, and you guys can have your say on it too. Until then, bear in mind that you can recruit people for Folding the rest of the year. Getting them started now means they'll be in a much better position for the CC in May. ;)

Xavier Zepherious as long as someone is there from EVGA we won't be in a pickle anyways I doubt much if anything is even discussed yet yep, so far discussion on rules has stopped. The other captains wanted to gauge interest in their teams and go looking for co- captains, as we did looking for new leaders. My offer on giving you or drougnor my login still stands. btw the captains forum itsel is not on OCN.

Update: OK.. so far only 3 teams have checked in the the CC Forum not much discussed only 1 proposal from OCN on stats OCN Post:zodac So what factors do you guys think are important? Last year we just went with overall team increase. I propose that, and two others: 1) Team production increase - Will be done using the handicap system, with points period for the handicap to be discussed). 2) Team conversion - Over the 10 days, how much % of the points were done by the team's CC user. 3) Absolute points - Bonus Cpoints for every 1mil, 5mil or 10mil produced per team. Date is also being discussed: however other folders(hemisphere on planet) will be heading into summer if we propose winter that leaves spring /fall (future contests) MPC wants NO Prizes and incentices gone (maybe even NO BUCKS)...(from last year - at end of contest on cc 2011 forum) If you have Ideas submit and discuss them here or PM me or drougnor

No handicaps... Pure points gain over last six months avg. All the rest below based off of the GAINS not total points (Only the points increased above the 6 month avg)... - ONE Point per million block...
- ONE Point per ten million Points (So 11 total points so far)
- TEN Bonus points for Any new team (Not team re-badges or jumpers but a per new team)
Other off the wall ideas... - No prizes beyond sig badge
- Three tears. (just an idea spoken out-loud here) Top three producing teams are one tear next tear is the next ten teams... Or break them off in glumps of similar size.
- Run it for 60 days... The last time it seemed a few teams gained a lot of new folders the last few weeks (And that is the idea of this after all) and the finishing order would have changed had a few more weeks been the timeline...
- Run it in the fall or winter months...
And last years thoughts... http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=999607

Afterburner No handicaps... Pure points gain over last six months avg. All the rest below based off of the GAINS not total points (Only the points increased above the 6 month avg)... And what about teams that drop off production prior to contest to sandbag (even go to zero production)?? BAD IDEA!! Afterburner - ONE Point per million block...
- ONE Point per ten million Points (So 11 total points so far) -
- TEN Bonus points for Any new team (Not team re-badges or jumpers but a per new team)
points may favor Teams that have CPU folders over GPU folders (bigadv and bigadv-16) so how about what we do for MARCH MADNESS something for both points and WU's 2nd one unfair to smaller teams I do like 1 point(or even 1/2 point) for every new team member (it's about bringing in new folders for ALL TEAMS) an 10 points for new teams (right off the start) Afterburner Other off the wall ideas...
And last years thoughts... http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=999607 no prizes...we could lose teams ..ie HWC(had sponsership last year) and we may not get as many folders without incentives and we had internal prize pool as well as OCN Tiers - yes I think this is the answer (and 3 prizes - and maybe 1 overall) of similar folding power 60 days..you crazy... I don't think most will go that far (short spurt - small increase to electric bill versus 2 month hike) May is almost spring... moving to April wouldn't be a bad choice Still it's earlier - only 3 teams shown up...so post many ideas and discuss with others what you like to see when we have some consensus - - barring something posted on the CC I'll bring it up definitely we are against any handicap by the look of it

Well you asked for ideas... And do you think teams will sandbag for six months prior to a no money winning contest? Really? Maybe it is time for me to cut and run if that is how low we think of other teams to even suggest that. Or did you miss the "Six months" part?
