This has to be one of the most detailed mods I've seen in a long time.

Here are some pics with all coolers on there place, now you see also why i make the 90° connectors on the mobo :

Here you see, with fittings and all, i calculated just enough space for cpu block etc :

and this is why i made those 90° connectors, so maximum on cable management :

next layer of armaflex :

Cut-out for the waterblock :

And also soldering some SMD-led's for in the case, when you solder these smd-led's be shure you use Kynar whire, THE wire for working with SMD's :

And putting the smd-led's on place with double component epoxy :

Just like i put 320 smd-led's in previous casemod : Chiller's Evga Monsta :

IMO, this beats Falcon's. Come on, anytime insulation is needed, it's a win.

I think it will be much easier to determine which mod is the best when both rigs are done.. completely done..

Re:Chiller's Hybrid SR-2 2010/11/25 21:54:48 (permalink)
Ya, apples and oranges. Falcon's rig is a 'from scratch' wooden case with a certain look. It's big and has some extras that may seem goofy depending on one's tastes. It has aquariums and waterfalls, secondary keyboard and biometric security. It is awesome, but is a behemoth that apeals to a different group of sensabilities. Chiller's Hybrid SR-2 is stunning in it's exceution. It's detailed lighting goes that extra mile. The modified case (which was a cool case to start with) has a prision use of space; it's fuction is it's fashion. The Hybrid cooling is so spot on; providing epic cooling without the use of dresser sized furnishings. The red sleeving with 90 degree fittings is a very attractive feature.

If I were asked which rig I'd rather have in my home or office. I'd have to say Chiller's, but that's just because I could never afford the volume of space needed by Falcon's. Falcon's is epic but will need to rent a flatbed to bring it to a LAN party.

Re:Chiller's Hybrid SR-2 2010/11/26 04:16:16 (permalink)
subbed, i like Falcon project to, but space indeed in the house becomes a problem,

and what you whant in the case, is plenty of room.

With me it's the opposite way, i need to get plenty stuff in limited space and lots of tiny mods on every piece.
And still can get to lan party's and have great cooling capacity.

But neverteless Falcon's project is also nice

next pics come this weekend.

Re:Chiller's Hybrid SR-2 2010/11/26 11:27:33 (permalink)
I cut up an Evga ECP Panel for building it in the front of my case.
little soldering, and i will have a EVbot connecting in front, a DEBUG lcd, Clear CMOS switch and switches for disable PciE and cpu's.
This will be build in a Lian-Li slim-drive Bracket where together with a slot-in dvd drive also can go two SSD harddrives in it :
i cut the ECP Panel up because you see always mods with just the ECP Panel screwed in the case, now i change this to my own taste.

Here is the Lain-Li slim dvd drive bracket,
(bought in usa)
Here you see how i build in all the different switches, lcd en connectors, these will come behind a grey smoke acryl plate :

Clear CMOS with his tiny hole :

Total overview of the case :

In the case it's still dark, but also on the graphics cards will come nice mods etc......:
