Hello guys I recently purchased x2 GTX 970 FTW cards and I wanted to test temperatures on Star Wars Battlefront on Ultra Settings. For my CPU cooling I have the Exllusion 240 and no GPU cooling for my GPU's yet. I would like to know if these temperatures are normal, I have not overclocked anything.

Looks pretty normal for SLI. What kind of case do you have?

I have a corsair 750 D. One more question, I stopped playing Star Wars Battlefront and it took approximately 20 minutes for the temperatures of my CPU Cores to get back down to 32 degrees C. I'm not sure if that is normal, or I may have to reapply thermal paste and re-seat the cpu cooling. Any thoughts? Also, thanks for the fast replies! you guys rock.

Maybe I'm not looking at it right, but card 2 never did anything in the photo? Are you sure SLI is enabled? The fan speed was 0% th whole time with a max temp of 42C? Maybe I'm not reading it right. It's just you would expect the max temp of card 1 to be 70-80C and card 2 to be 65-75C, not 40C. 40C shows card 2 never did anything which is against SLI. Make sure they working right, or try to test them again and see it if was just a fluke. Or maybe I'm not reading it right. EDIT: The cooling time of your CPU is like years. If you used the generic crap they gave you with the cooler then seriously consider buying Artic Silver 5 (AS5). AS5 is generally seen as the best and can seriously make a 3-5C tempeture diffirence on max temps, and I'm sure it would help you cool down faster. It's also possible you used too much or too little. Too much insulates the CPU like putting a fur coat on it, too little prevents the benefits of thermal pastes 'superior' heat transfer. It's also good to tighten the screws of the CPU socket starting with one and screwing it in halfway and then going diagonal and screwing it in halfway. Then pick one of the other two and screw it in halfway, same with the last. Then slowly tighetening the screws little by little in the same pattern you established until it's tight, then a quarter turn back. The pattern helps establish an even displacement of the termal paste instead of shifting it all to one corner of the CPU by tightening all the other corners first, it also helps with air pockets. The quarter twist is just to prevent the screws from being stripped later and it's not good to keep everything so tight.

Bsmegreg is right. Card 2 never did anything, and the clocks on card 1 are 540 max.. your max gpu clock should be much higher, so you may be getting some misreadings.
You need to open 2 instances of gpu-z at the same time, and set them to monitor the sensors of each card. Once you do that, then check the temp box and set it to max for each as well as usage.
What cpu cooler are you using? The minor amount of details we have aren't going to help give you ideas as to how to make the experience better without knowing what all you have. A picture of your system would also be helpful.
Make sure SLI is enabled in the nvidia control panel also. I am not sure if the Sli profile is setup for battle front yet, but I would think that it is, since it is a previous game engine driving it.

The clocks are correct, it's just that it's not the same clocks you are thinking of. If you go to NVIDIA control panel and system specs you will see that the clocks of the GPU are not what you thing. But they are correct, it's just a diffrient clock. Or I noticed this before and thought it was interesting. I have no idea what the clocks there are for, but my card works right despite that. GPUZ says it's all good and what not, but NVIDIA control panel says its 540mhz. By the am way, he mentioned he has the http://www.lepatek.com/en.product_content/31/1/76/ CPU cooler

After re-enabling SLI and reapplying thermal paste to my CPU here are my temperatures at idle and then with Unigine Benchmark on Ultra settings. I think these temperatures look okay now, however I am going to take your advice bsmegreg and purchase arctic silver thermal paste because this generic **** ain't cutting it lol. Thanks again everyone, I really appreciate the help.

CPU is hot, but the GPU's seem okay. GPU1 does reach 80C so it would of downclocked on thermal. You could try to set fan curve on that one to prevent it from reaching 80C or you could also set the temp target to 85C. Both of those would prevent a temp downclock at 80C. But it's not nescsary as I don't think you would get 80C in games.
But the CPU at 70C seems hot and you deffinitly want to fix that.

CPU is fairly hot and 80°C on the video boards is pushing it a little. I prefer MX-4 thermal compound because it has no curing time necessary. I would invest in a decent aftermarket CPU cooler like the Zalman CNPS-9700 and enter an aggressive fan profile in MSI Afterburner or PrecisionX to keep your video boards cool.

CPU & GPU temps look normal. TCase allowed for the 4790k is 74.04C, yours is 72.25C so your cpu temps are fine. NOTE: TCase Temperature is the maximum temperature allowed at the processors Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS) recommended by Intel. http://ark.intel.com/prod...M-Cache-up-to-4_40-GHz
