SETI.Germany and Team LAF organize the Charity Event 2017. It takes place from 01/15/2017 at 00.00 until 01/28/2017 at 23.59. ( 15/01/2017 22.00 UTC - 28/01/2017 21.59 UTC )
This year we will be provided for the project TN-Grid
Team change:
Shortly before the change of their core team participants in the charity team: http://gene.disi.unitn.it/test/team_display.php?teamid=103 and expect from the 01/15/2017, at 00.00 clock for the project TN-Grid.Participation is voluntary.

In the project settings, it is easiest if all available WU-types are allowed.


SETI.Germany and Team LAF invite all BOINC teams to participate.Everyone is welcome to join in the Event.

We just had a big TN-Grid Event and the first one for this Project.
What Charity is this going for?
I think your use is not correct. A Charity is something that you give money or food or clothing to like the Red Cross.
Myself I do not like changing Teams for BOINC Events and Challenges.
As in the last two Events all I really saw was Charity-Team gaining for it own Team Name.

We have our own Event going on at that time.

The new team was founded only recently, so it does not yet appear in the BOINC Stats. Most of the participants are expected to be ready for the new team shortly before the start of the event.

The occasion for the charity team was the idea of the first charity race in January 2009. To make the purpose even more expressive, an overlapping team was founded, which members of different teams joined in order to compete for a specific project without the usual team competition With their computer capacity.

Such a charity event is now held annually.
