The TCP/IP system needs to be junked in favor of something called “Random Linear Network Coding” (RLNC).

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

So would not having to load cookies on 99%, tracking cookies, ads, and so on sites. Or poorly or non compressed images or vids, I'm still waiting for super compressed 720p vid compressions.Lazy site delv seems to be the norn these days....

I can't be the only one who remembers not having to have to have cookies just to load a dern site.

As far as the data is concerned, laziness may be some of it, but most of it is the hoster's priorities. For the host, they will regard processing time and resource usage higher than space in many cases due to them usually having a large fiber optic pipe. Power usage and serving pages to many users at once are an issue for the hoster if a lot of extra processing time needs to dedicated to compression. Usually it is just better performance-wise to serve non-compressed or low compression multimedia.

As far as cookies go, remember that the internet used to be static HTML but is now almost exclusively served by web applications which provide a highly customizable experience for each user and therefore cookies are required much more than before.
