Change step up option after 90 days?

Hi guys,
 
I'm currently waiting for my 980ti step up to a 1080 SC. However it might be more beneficial to me to get a founders edition card due to me having a silent case. Is it possible to switch to the founders card and if so would the wait be longer or shorter than for the SC?

    After 90 days, you can't.  But you might check into the option where you can go from the SC to the ACX 3.0 reference card.  Same as FE with dual fans.  That might also speed up the queue for you.

    I know I can't from my side, but meant will EVGA let me change if I were to call them or whatever? As I'd still pay the difference etc. As for the SC or ACX I'd prefer to wait for the SC, the only reason I'm willing to go for the Founders edition instead is due to the blower style fan which would be more suited to my case, especially since I'm considering SLI'ing in the near future :)

    You are waiting for the SC, which has exactly the same PCB and cooler as the ACX 3.0.   At this point, not sure they will change it.  That is up to EVGA.  If not...you should be good with the SC.  Just taking a little more time in queue
