I'm looking to buy the unlocked phone: Samsung Galaxy Note 4 N910G. I use T-Mobile is US and its phone is Samsung Galaxy Note 4 N910T.  T-Mobile is using B2(1900), B4(1700/2100) and B12(700).

Can someone explain to me the Bands B12, B17 and B28 differences?  I assume they are all different Bands... just happens to run on the same speed?  Will B28 work in the US as B17 or B12? Also B4(AWS) is B4(1700/2100)?

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 N910T (TMobile: 4G LTE FDD : B1(2100), B2(1900), B3(1800), B4(AWS), B5(850), B7(2600), B8(900), B12(700), B17(700)

Before you make this decision there is a rumor going around that the Samsung Note 5 should be released within a couple of weeks. If that occurs:

    1. If you budget allows it get that phone

    or

    2. The release of the new phone might cause the Note 4 price to drop if you still want that phone

I think your links are backwards - the 1st link points me to the Unlocked and the 2nd link goes to the T-Mobile phone.

I am not a phone expert, but I am the "cell phone guy" at my work and I have strong Google-Fu.  Searching gave me these 2 sites - http://niviuk.free.fr/lte_band.php and http://androidforums.com/threads/how-to-tell-if-a-phone-will-work-on-t-mobile.706991/ - where I'm pulling my info from.

I think the unlocked phone will work - B28 references Asia, whereas B12 & B17 are just North America... but the phone matches a number of other 4G LTE Bands for all regions as well as just North America-specific ones.  It also matches 3G UTMS - so you will have data, but it may be slower in places.

Yeah the links are backwards haha... copy/paste
I found the answer... they are not the same so I won't buy that phone.  It doesn't have B12(700) for T-Mobile.
