Bought my EVGA GTX580 through eBay, used, works great, don't get me wrong, I just want
to register it, but it has no part number on it.
 
From all the Google searches I have done, apparently, the actual part number was on a
sticker, on the back of the card, which there is none now.
 
When I use TechPowerUp GPU-Z, it gives me this screen:
 

 
And if I click the, "Lookup" button, it takes me here:

 
 
The actual card and case, are identical to this:
 

 
There are numbers on the back of the card, but none of those are a part number.
BIOS, Serial Number, etc.
 
I am thinking this is a, "03G-P3-1584-AR", but again, I have no way to prove this.
 
Is there a utility from EVGA that can read the card, and produce a part number?
 
Long and short of all of this is, I want to contact tech support to find the link for the download
for the utility, that will unlock the fan speed for this card, and I have to have the correct part
number.

    Does it have a metal back plate, that may be covering the sticker?

    Part number should be listed on the box if it came with the original box.

    No, just the basic exposed circuit board back.

    It was sealed well in, "a" box, but not "the" original box.

    No real biggie, its an older unit, just wanted to register it for kicks and giggles.
     
    I see in the, "03G-P3-1584" lineup, there are 4 classifications:
    (AR, ER, KR, R1).
     
    Any, "fatal" substantial differences there?
     
    Also, how did you get your, URL link in there? I applied one, up top, showing
    where the, "Lookup" button takes me, but it doesn't show up.

    Just tried it. Nice little program. The video section showed just about as much as GPU-Z, ...but no part number.

    The serial number is a unique number assigned to that specific card for identification and warranty purposes. There are only 2 locations that this serial number would be found, on the retail box, and on a physical sticker adhered to the card itself just above the PCI-E interface. This serial number would be in no way flashed to the card's firmware/bios. Generally speaking if this sticker is removed or missing the warranty is void. Though being that this card is a gtx 580 and was purchased through Ebay the warranty on it has long expired.

    The 2 letter suffix at the end of the part number indicate what type of warranty it would carry.

    -AR, ER, KR, R1 just tell the warranty period for the card.

    This is likely the factory serial number, which is not the same used to register your product, but please keep in mind that a registration is not needed.
