Good evening Everyone,
I am new to the scene here and figured i would give it a shot and try to OC my PC and read quite a bit and did research on a lot of things. But i cannot seem to get my build stable (Using Prime95 and then the plan is to test after that with IntelBurnTest-V2 and Memtest)
but for whatever reason i cannot get Prime95 to pass not even the first test without some workers failing or Bluescreens.
I am not even sure if i am posting this in the right area, but i will give it a go and if it is the wrong area please forgive me and my rudeness for posting in this topic.
Here are my settings:

You double posted this in two different sections back to back. I am keeping the thread in the Overclocking and Benchmarking section open and have removed the other, as your help is need with overclocking.

There are many awesome overclockers in here that will be able to assist you :-)

Hey, no worries. I am not personally familiar with that motherboard or bios, or I would try to help more. Just be patient and the gurus will eventually come pouring in.

i did come across this website, i remember going through the pages but did not really find anything substantial opposed to setting a few things like the qpi and upping the voltage 1 notch (1.65 to 1.66v on the dram) and see if that worked. did not work btw lol

IBT is brutal, i have to run VCore, VTT and VDIMM higher to pass IBT, also, my system got pretty warm on it too.  IBT is as much a benchmark for your CPU cooling as it is a stability test.
Also, is Speedstep and Turbo mode enabled or disabled?

Also, this is true in general, but more so on older platforms like X58 where all of the aspects of the board are tied together in such a way that you make one adjustment and you change several things.
Drop your memory speed, and get the CPU clock stabilized first.  Once that is where you want it, then work on bringing your memory speed up.  You are running the IMC higher than recommended from Intel, typically this is possible, however sometimes you lose the silicon lottery in regards to certain CPU aspect.  My 930 I had to have VDIMM at 1.7250 iirc and VTT at +175mv to get 1600 stable.  It is much easier to stabilize one section of an overclock at a time, then move on.  So I suggest dropping your memory to somewhere in the 1066-1333 range, and get the CPU able to pass IBT, that way there is not much of a concern that your IMC is holding you back.  Then start increasing the memory speed.

Perhaps this will be helpful. North bridge heat is a major factor with high B-clock.

Any updates?  Curious to see where your OC is at currently.
