I'll keep going till I make it to Monday Morning.  Then I have to work on something...  For the benefit of the team, that is.

I just got done putting it together.  Cable management sucks.  I'll install the OS Wednesday when I'm not half asleep.

I may be able to install an OS in my sleep, but I'm not one to install an OS with a system I don't know well in my sleep.

I think the monitor saw that cartoon in your sig and self-destructed before being subjected to the same treatment as the keyboard was.

I think that is someone from UPS and could be what happened to the monitor.

Can my life get any worse.  My Raid 5 failed completely.  Had a double error and is not recoverable.  I just lost years of work and archiving.  I quit.  I will recovery what I can from external sources, but 95% of it is dust in the wind.

Oddly and lucky, FAH is on its own HDD, so no loss there.  But I'm going to let it finish and quit folding on this PC for a while till I recovery what I can.

External sources? There is software you can run from your folding pc that can help you get any data, even stuff you can't "see" directly from the drive.

It works very well! I use it on crashed hard drives all the time. Not hard to figure out how to use it either.
There's others out there, but this one gets a lot of data that others don't.

folding rigs and a box fan are my only heat in the house until 12/1 I hope
It's been about mid 20 degrees fahrenheit at nite.
You almost made a tootsie roll come out my nose laughing with the monitor comments

There is no recovery options.  What I meant by external sources is data left behind on CD's or other devices.  Right now, I'm trying to get my music off my iPod back on to the PC.  No simple task appearently.

Either, too late now.  It won't matter with one drive holding the odds and the other holding the evens, and the Raid file system destroyed.  I've already started a new Raid filing system.  Starting with a Raid 1, with a spare HDD ready (just in case).  Once I get the RMA'd HDD back from Seagate, I will change it to a Raid 5 again, but this time have a spare HDD installed and ready to take over in the first signs of trouble.

Well, I'm going to do my best not to let it drag me down.  I just start over and conitune.  For now, the CPU is folding 6/8 threads for SMP units.  Can't put too much of a load on it yet.  There is Giga's amount of data being directed all at once.

Kinda feels like my house just burnt down and I'm recoverying whats left.
