Madrias I've almost got Dad convinced to join the cause here, but all I've got for certain is an Atom N270. It can do 2x Uniproc, but nothing else. I'm trying to get permission for the Q9550, but I'd have to manually set up his SMP. What do you mean by manually set up his SMP? I had a Q9550 (pretty decent folder) and I just used FAH GPU Tracker V2...it automatically downloaded and set up pretty much everything for me...btw props to whoever made gpu tracker v2 as it's super easy to use and works great.

mnparadox Here's another one to fit in with the EVGA bubbles (like at the top of the page)... Post it in my thread here, to be eligible to win all the GTA series. The contest will end on the 20th at 12am. And I will pick the winner when I wake up and get on.

And then for a theme song, "All your base now belong to us". Update on my main rig folder. I just got the Corsair H100 in and installed. Will be trying to push the clock speeds to 3.8GHz (4.0GHz on Turbo). Last time I managed 3.6GHz but the heat output was going too high. Currently running at 3.4GHz with a 5*C drop in average temps. Was running around 72~75*C, now it is 65~72*C.

Turbo only boosts one core, so you're better off folding with Turbo off.

How badly does CST need another contestant? Tanner2 was trying to recruit me and I told him I was going to pass. However the invite gained my interest and reading though this thread only strengthened my interest. I do still have time to sign up right?

Actually turbo mode boosts all cores 1x more multipler. 3x more multipler if only 1 core is doing all the work. I've also almost hit my mark of 4.0 GHz on the i7 930 rig. Had to give it a little more push on the VCore to hopefully make it stable. It's currently running LinX for 20 rounds at 25000 problem size. Made it past 10 rounds before I left it alone and then BSOD somewhere. The h100 works great, on low the temps may get a little high but on the balanced setting, they come down to within range. Only complaint are the fans making a click noise.

tanner2need you bad c_c, we're 210k ppd behind est. Tanner2 has officially recruited another CST contestant. :) I wish I could have closed the 210K PPD gap, sadly 40K is just about all I can handle with 2 CPU's and 1 GPU.

Don't worry, I just added another PC rig to our inventory. So now my PPD has gone from 30K to maybe 75K, at least 65K minimal.

SCORE!!!!!! Increased VCore from 1.375V to 1.4V and it is now stable to fold. Just got to remember to up the fan controller from low to balanced to keep those temps in check. Run the LinX with the fan controller on low.

Started its first WU on the new clock speed. New PPD just for the CPU is now around 21K, up from 18K, and away from 12K when it was stock. Quite a difference a little overclocking will do. My TPF is almost at a 3 min even, just has a second or two left before it does. This has also shaved off an hour per WU work time. Looking around 5 hours now for a normal SMP WU. And under folding, temps have dropped 10*C from the LinX torture testing. They are hanging around 80*C now, which is really where I like them to be and no higher. Sadly thou, the fans that are included with the H100 are going to drive me insane with the little clickey noise. So I ordered 3x Zalman 120mm sharkfin fans to replace the fans in the case now. All 3x will be attached to the H100 fan controller for better cooling performance.
