Does the rubber cover allow you to depress the tabs on the 8 or 6-pin connector for removal? If not, how do you remove the pins from the video card?

Thank you Jacob and Co for the effort!

But could I cancel my request? is not so cheap to Spain and I have seen that my GTX 1060 SC, which is not specially well cooled, has the heat scape on the zone where the PowerLink would be.

Thanks

Why don't you just build the card with the plugs oriented towards the end to start with?

When I built my new machine, I mentioned that to my woman. I said with all the emphasis enthusiasts place on looks and cable management, I wonder why they still put the power ports in the front..... These power links will work great but be nice to put them at the backend as you mention from the get go.....

Talk about a pain in the rear... Let me get this right, putting the connectors on the back of the card, right? I can see so many people installing their card, screwing in the screws, and then realizing they didn't connect the PCI connectors. Now they have to unscrew the screws, take out the card, and repeat the process. Now, it could be possible to do all that without taking the card out, but there would be some difficulties in doing it that way. The other problem is that this would cause the risk of the connectors hitting the back of the case, not to mention hitting the motherboard as well, so custom cases would possibly be required. Not everybody is into that luxury. It's not feasible to put it on the back compared to the front. The side no doubt, but not the rear of the card.

What are you talking about? I don't think anyone is suggesting placing power connectors that are facing the motherboard.

It just sounded like you were implying that because you stated "I wonder why they still put the power ports in the front", which made me think you were thinking they should put them on the back of the card. My bad. They should just go ahead and put the connectors on the side which the EVGA power connector will do.
Some cases have the PSU in the back of their PC while the main components are in the front compartment, and when we bring that power plug from the back to the front either 1) it's not long enough, or 2) it just looks real silly and stupid. I see one problem with the EVGA power connector, the chances of the power plugs now hitting the fans on the front. Easy fix though, but still, there's always something or "one thing leads to another".

What I would like to see for "power plugs" going to the GPUs, are 90 degree plug-ins. If they're out and they exist, I would like a point of direction to get these. What I'm wanting is a similar type of connection like the SLI bridge, but it would go one both power connections on both plugs, preferably black which would be a hard plastic like the SLI bridge (not the flimsy one).

Wow. Why are the shipping prices so high to Finland. :(? I was expecting 10 euros.

This is great move from EVGA.
I will pay attention on availability of this Power Link.
And people with previous version of graphic cards could seriously to improve look of whole PC with this little tool.
Removing VGA cables view of whole PC interior is completely different.

I registered Oct 5th and received the request email but haven't gotten the approved email notification. Uploaded my receipt to my 2 1070's, everything seemed to go through fine. Should I have received my approval and shipping email by now?

They have stated shipments will begin on Nov 1st so I would expect shipping payment info around that date.

Of course I would expect to pay something for shipping, but this is way expensive for shipping, I don't regard this in any way "free" sorry.
15 Euros way to expensive for me in the UK sorry. I hope others enjoy it.

powerlinks are retailed for $30. think of it as a discounted item. or buy used for about same price as this promo. or don't buy at all. your choice. just giving you how i'm thinking it as discounted price other than free.

I was wondering the same thing about the approval, but not about shipping info. I was thinking the requests would be approved, then the email about billing would be coming around the time of shipment. Shouldn't we hear something about the approval of the request first?

Is the shipping to Austria (that little country right below Germany) really 18€ since it's not listed?
Thats quite steep for a small part. My national postal service delivers 1kg for €16 to the USA!

Why on earth does it cost €18 to ship something that tiny to Ireland!  Just use normal post. UPS are rubbish anyway, takes them an entire WEEK to deliver something that normal parcel post takes a few days to do!

I too am a little perplexed as to why EVGA, a great customer service oriented company, would offer a cool, innovative product, and then charge a relatively steep shipping cost for it.  Seems like a very poor business decision, unless their intent was to piss off their established customer base.

How far will the Powerlink stick out of a 1060 (SC if that matters)? I'm working in a Corsair Air 240 case which is known to be a little tight with regards to GPU power runs. Is it possible to get an actual measurement that I can check with? Thanks!

I am in the same boat with an Air 240. Looking at the photos it doesn't seem like there is any gain in clearance. I would like to see some actual measurements though.

EVGA is not like Asus, and won't give you the run-arounds like Asus does.

So I am reading the forums and I am seeing that this "free" accessory is really $18 because of shipping? Please tell me this isn't the case EVGA. I have stood by your side for many items and discussions but this seems like a blatant money grab promotion.

I can understand where some are coming from but......if you were to purchase this it would be $30 plus shipping/handling.
The item is free....but picking, packing and shipping aren't
If the cost is prohibitive for you.....meh.

Can someone with EVGA support help me out. I originally placed an order for two EVGA PowerLinks, but recently purchased a third card. So I cancelled my order for two and tried to place a new order for three PowerLinks. However, the website script doesn't allow me to do this -- gives me an error that I cannot order more than 4 units.
