Hey all. Bought my two 980ti Classifieds about 5 months ago. One has died now. The problem is that one was purchased from Best Buy, the other was from Amazon. I can either RMA it through EVGA, or try to see if Best Buy will give me a warranty covered refund on it. The problem being if I go through Best Buy(much quicker), I will be stuck, since they do not carry them anymore. Is there any chance of returning the one to Best Buy, and then having EVGA allow me to send in the working one to upgrade to a 1080? Gratiz.

Unless the card is registered and on the step up list I would say chances are slim.

If you bought them over 5 months ago, you are out of the step up window. You can just RMA the broken one theough EVGA if Best Buy wont get yiu a warranty replacement of the same model.

So, a brief update. I reinstalled drivers/F@H software and still experiencing issues. I fired up a GPU benchmark, and both GPU's performed flawlessly. Any ideas?

The last couple of drivers have messed up F@H. Try 373.06 - those were the last set that I used that worked.

I wondered if that was the issue. Do you by chance have a URL to the old versions?

373.06 are working fine for me on both GTX-980 and GTX-980 ti boards for Folding. I won't update until I hear something positive from the Folding Community.

IDK why there are such problems with the video drivers lately. I know that Folding at Home is not a video game and therefore drivers will not be optimized for it but still all we're doing is processing Ones and Zeroes, right? You haven't missed much if anything at all since the stats server has been down for a while. I hear it was back up yesterday but IDK for certain. I only Fold occassionally because of the cost of electricity. Because of my high useage I lost my CAP rate discount for low income households.

Just odd, that I've rarely, if ever, had a driver update completely FUBAR functionality in software, gaming or not. /shrug/ Electricity's relatively cheap where I am so fold on.

I got this error that I had never seen before: 14:33:16:WU02:FS02:0x21:WARNING:Console control signal 1 on PID 1640 I lost a lot of WU because of some weird file that failed to download. Not a hint of 'Bad state detected' for the whole run but then I got some "ArrayEnergyBuffer" file or something similar failed to download and that was it... kaput!
