I updated the BIOS for my FTW card because I was playing BF1 and it was getting very hot.  The BIOS was supposed to up the fan speeds and it does make it about 10 degree cooler.  But now when I reboot my PC I get a Black Screen and no display.

I have to hard reset my PC to get back into windows.   I have tried the flash a number of times and each time I get different types of black screen behavior on my motherboard loading screen.  Sometimes its when I reboot, sometimes its when I shut down and restart.   And sometimes its black and then it starts working again.   Each time I try and re flash its doing something different...

Did you flash the secondary vbios too? If not, switch over to the secondary vbios to see if it helps fix the black screen issues you're having.

I dont get black screens on the secondary Bios.  I did not flash that one and I am afraid to do the secondary Bios because I dont want to have that flash mess up also.   Then I might not be able to get in windows at all with my GPU.

I did switch over to secondary and I got a display with the secondary setting because it has the old BIOS.   But when I put It on master and try to do the flash it finishes but I get black screens randomly when I reboot the PC.

Looks like I am going to have to RMA this card because of the black screens and get a new one sent to me with the Thermal Pads and Bios.

Did you save your stock BIOS to reflash with?

There was no way to save the stock BIOS for the Master.

The tool they offered only gives the option to flash to the new Bios.  The old Bios was on the cards itself and I had no way to get the Bios from the card.

I dont see any download links for the old Bios to try and flash the old Bios back to the GPU.  So I am going to RMA it I guess.

You can use GPU-Z to save your BIOS. Whichever one is the one set on the card is the one it will save.  You can ask EVGA to send you the stock BIOS. That would be a much quicker and cheaper solution if it works.

GPU Z was working for me before I updated my Bios.

But after I updated my Bios GPU Z wont work anymore.   I even tried to uninstall it an re install a newer version but everytime I try to load GPU Z it hangs up on the splash screen for GPU Z and it wont load up.
