Hey all,

In adding a 2nd Titan-X(had $800 in rewards from Dell, so it ran me under $300 total), i noticed my original
Titan-X[evga sc'ed) had alot of dust inside it's shroud.

What's the best way to clean the inside of a Titan like gpu(reference style)?

Also, under full load, i'm getting 75C from the top card and 65C from the bottom card. Are these about normal
temps? [top gpu's fan runs up to75%]

Being i'm waiting for Skylake-E and an 8 core, and skipping Haswell's 5960X, i'm still stuck with a pos case of
a 2 yr old Alienware Auroda R4, where the airflow is not ideal.

If temps go higher i'll have to somehow put the parts inside a new case[not Dell] and space apart the gpu's, as now they are basically screw'in each other[lol] with less then 1/4 inch apart.

Thanks for an input..i do appreciate it!

The temps you're seeing are normal since the cards are sandwiched.

Yeah i figured. I'm upgrading to a new pc rig when Skylake-E arrives as i figure a 8 core would last at least 5 years. So if i can get about 1 yr more out of this case, then it's an ideal situation.

    But until then, one question:

Is it dangerous or common for some users to have an SLI config. so close? [ie..sandwiched]

btw: Idle temps are 32 and 39 and under full load is 75 and 85. I'm thinking that's not the worst, but the fan is at 85% with the hotter card. And i wish to lower the fan a bit..so that's my only issue with it.

I use the datavac from amazon as well. Works wonders.  Been using it for years now and still runs strong. I only use 1 Titan X but my idle temps are 26-27 and during gaming at 1440p top is 65degrees.  Fan speed 60%

Thanks, as i was using the much cheaper canned air..which was really useless. I'll be  ordering this asap.

Most users with custom build rigs have a gap (pci-e slot) between each card for improved temps when running sli. Alienware motherboards get the sandwich on.
