You paid almost $600 for a 1440p screen?  Does the refresh rate make that much of a real difference? I'd probably have gone with one of these: http://accessories.us.del...;l=en&sku=210-ADOF

Desktop: i7 3820 - ASUS X79 Sabertooth TUF - 4x4GB G.Skill TridentX 2400C9 - EVGA GTX 580 Classified ULTRA Hydro Copper
Microsoft Surface Pro 4: i7 6650U - 16GB RAM - 256GB SSD - Sennheiser HD 598 - DualShock 4 Controller

YES - Refresh rate makes the world of difference.  Going from 60hz to 144 hz is like going into a whole new world :)

This monitor is an IPS monitor (4ms response time), 144hz w/ G-sync and ULMB (up to 120 hz)....  I myself feel like I got a smoking deal getting this monitor for $566

Check out some reviews.

Last Edit... I have had 4k monitors/TV's... I also have one single 980 ti that is good for most games, but falls short in many titles (with max settings up).  That is why 2k (2560x1440k is the sweet spot).  I am now going to be running on a beautiful ips monitor with amazing response times, g-sync and all the eye candy turned up.

Yes.

Once you go gsync + over 60hz you never go back.

2.5k is the sweet spot of gaming right now.

Not my fault if you're offended.

The desktop real estate with UHD I have little intent to go backwards to 1440p. I'll just wait for the 4th generation UHD panels come out with Free-sync and 120hz via DP 1.3 for my next screen. Until then I have the m43-c1. I fully expect to see something along those lines (90 or 120hz at 4k) teased at CES but not out till this time next year. DP as a specification is pushing well towards 8k 60hz, so we'll see 4k 120hz pretty soon because the bandwidth is there for the port. The GPU horsepower on the other hand still needs to catch up.
