So I purchased the BenQ XL2720Z monitor recently to pair with my new EVGA GTX 980 SC + ACX 2.0 and one thing that was prominent on the forums was to make sure you had firmware v2, which I do.  After reading about some issues with DisplayPort I did discover that BenQ silently released two other firmware - in particular is v4 which not only resolves the DP issue but actually enhances performance to an entirely different level.

Unfortunately as of now, the only way to upgrade this is to use Linux, so I was wondering if anyone here is privy to a solution for those of us Windows users who are not as tech savvy or do not want to tinker around with Ubuntu, etc.

Any assistance that can resolve this would be greatly appreciated.  I don't know if a batch file can be created or some sort of script run but any solution within Windows or DOS would be preferable to the current solution on Blur Busters.
