EA's Origin platform has jumped the gun and revealed some of the innards of Battlefield 1's $49.99 Premium Pass.
The Premium Pass adds 16 new multiplayer maps, 20 new weapons, dog tags and Battlepacks, the latter of which contain weapon skins.
You also get two-week early access to new multiplayer maps, which come in four themed expansion packs. The first expansion is They Shall Not Pass, which lets you fight with the French army. That's due out in March 2017.

So no real saving to Ultimate. Deluxe + Premium = 129.98/Ultimate. I will wait to see what happens.

So no real saving to Ultimate. Deluxe + Premium = 129.98/Ultimate. I will wait to see what happens.
They can keep the deluxe version for @ $80 price tag. With Prime i can get standard version for $48.

I agree that's the cheapest way so I guess we just have the weigh whether the perks are worth 19 bucks.
1) Early Access
2) Red Baron Pack
3) Lawrence of Arabia Pack
4) 3 vehicle skins
5) 5x Battle Packs
Nothing except early access excites me.

I knew Premium most likely was coming back. The only thing I don't like is how they kept the Premium price the same, but reduced its number of expansion packs/maps. Used to be 5 packs with 20 maps for $50. Still will be getting it lol, but will not be spending $130.

Paid multiplayer maps again. Count me out again.
That moment when you realize they stopped making Battlefield games and are just making Battlefield platforms to sell DLC.

I've played 649 weekend warrior hours with BF4 that works out to $.15 and hour for the $100 I spent initially. I'd say that's a solid value. Considering that $130 isn't so bad for 2 years of fun. Even at 400 hrs @ 130 that's $.32 per hour of fun less than a candy bar yummy. I'll do exactly exactly what I did with BF3 & 4 play the beta and make the final decision.

I feel the same as you. I paid $110 for BF4, but I have 2200 hours. So I only paid 5 cents for every hour. I think I got my money out of BF4.

Yep, even if a map is fantastic, since it is DLC it will never be as popular as it would be if it was included with a game which really annoys me.

Because now the base game has significantly lower content in it. Obvious the trend is to get gamers into buying into a software platform to buy more software. It's a slippery slope confirmed. A lot of newer games are doing this. e.g. Rainbow Six: Siege

You keep on using the word "now" like this is something new with Battlefield... when it isn't. Battlefield 3 Base Maps: 9 Paid DLC: 16 (Karkand pack was free) Battlefield 4 Base Maps: 10 Paid DLC: 20 Battlefield 1 Base Maps: 10 Paid DLC: 16 So I'm failing to see here how this is new now to the Battlefield franchise. Or are you just now realizing this? Because this is NOT starting with BF1; we've been snowboarding down that slope for years.
