So premium now has more content than the base game?

Bf1 Premium has less maps compared to BF4 Premium.

But still more than the base game though.

But premium has always had more maps than the base game since it was introduced in BF3... so why are you saying that NOW it has more when it's always had more? This is nothing new.

Because now the base game has significantly lower content in it. Obvious the trend is to get gamers into buying into a software platform to buy more software. It's a slippery slope confirmed. A lot of newer games are doing this. e.g. Rainbow Six: Siege

You keep on using the word "now" like this is something new with Battlefield... when it isn't.

Battlefield 3
Base Maps: 9
Paid DLC: 16 (Karkand pack was free)

Battlefield 4
Base Maps: 10
Paid DLC: 20

Battlefield 1
Base Maps: 10
Paid DLC: 16

So I'm failing to see here how this is new now to the Battlefield franchise.  Or are you just now realizing this?  Because this is NOT starting with BF1; we've been snowboarding down that slope for years.

Base game content includes more than maps.

Enjoy the pre-order!

I'm just looking for a "yes/no" answer for this, as I haven't really paid any attention to the videos....

I'm pretty sure I seen a charge out of a trench in a vid. I will post if I find it. The bayonet stab is pretty sweet, except when you are the stabby/ie? [me] LOL

Ridiculous price structure. EA sure knows how to DLC scam on the up-sell. Would you like to super size your fries with that? Just send us $49 more. You guys sure like getting drunk on the Battlefield Kool-Aid.

Meh!  After the experience you guys still talking about the Battle fail 3 and 4, not to even mention the Hardline (wanna be GTA V), i will refuse to buy a game at that price. Do not get me wrong, it feels a bit like BC2 Vietnam patch, but after playing the beta with 2 members of this forum, the same fail mechanics from BF3 and BF4 still there, hence I pass.

I am thinking of getting the ultimate and getting back into the online fun we once had...

hmm.....very interesting, i miss the old times fun too AB.  A very tempting observation, but i am afraid i might have to pass bud.

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

You're completely right Brad. I enjoy Battlefield even with it's issues. It seems like this is how many publishers are going now that they know it "works". I will more than likely play it, just because it's something new. I'm conflicted a bit though.
Probably go with the standard version and see how it goes. Watch them offer a Premium after the fact.....

I picked up BF1 a couple weeks ago like others have said. the hours I have into the game vs the money I paid for it's a very good value, even if there's only one map I really like with 64 players it's still worth it to me. I'll spend double that on one night out with eats for my other half and myself.Good Luck and I look forward to blasting you real soon on the fields of BF. Gattlin

BF1 Collector's Edition and premium, baby! That statue will sit on the shelf and/or my PC at a LAN right next to my Duke Nukem bust. At least the BF1 statue lights up. :)
BF fan since the beginning. Really excited about this one. :)
