Conclusion: You only need hb bridge if you're running 4k surround or 5k. 4k and below will work just fine with a led type bridge.

    I should mention though Bought an EVGA HB bridge just for the asthetic and ability to switch the LED color.

    While I am not pushing 4K monitors, having a bridge that has double the data paths and -may- keep traffic off the PCI  under extreme load is a well spent $40 imo. Particularly since all I have at the moment is the freebie ribbon bridge that came with my MB.

    Here's another test HB vs old schooll SLI bridge. Basically the new bridge helps in some instances where SLI isn't scalling corectly. This can be solved by using 2 classic bridges or an LED one.
