Wasn't bad language only 3 letters that meant Way to Fold in my mind, can't help if they have a dirty mind.
that's the 1st letters from Way To Fold. now what's bad about those 3 letters? Nothing, its all in your bad thoughts.

I'd sure be sorry to see you go Wolf.  This thread and your participation in keeping motivation going is needed.  Every Folding team needs some cheerleading, visual encouragement and good technical help to see them through the challenges.  That is what this thread (and others like it) are all about.  It's helpful.  I know this isn't your "first time at bat" in Folding or on a Folding team, but one thing I've enjoyed about this team is that we all care about the same thing and each other.

We have great people here that openly speak their minds and sometimes just as openly are not agreed with.  I don't think there are many here that it hasn't happened to...some of us more than once.    But I tell ya, these guys and gals all love the same thing when it comes to curing disease even when we don't agree on how to get there.

My advice would be to give it time here, we've all had bad days, so don't let yesterday define being a member of this team.  I enjoyed our open-team venture into VirtualBox recently and in just about every thing where you've invested time here it has been about helping the team do better.  That is the Wolf we know and appreciate.  Hope you'll decide to stay.  Even if you don't we are one large family of Folders no matter where we Fold and you will always be welcome here.

TOS - binds AB hands  those 3 letters (written that way are banned)

not up to him..if he didn't catch it some other mod would have caught it.
they could have the forums set to automatically filter and place *** there, much like chat filters work (look at the EVGA team chat we have set up)

What you have to realize is people may perceive acronyms differently than you and in the TOS are reminded that terminology or acronyms are not allowed (no talking in code)

that said the mods do allow some leeway with coding games and such, provide we keep it clean

Anyways keep posting with enthusiasm and keep us on our toes working to keep [H] at bay wolf... you're doing great

GTX470 is back in service.  Must have had a bad WU to digest.  Cleaned it, tested it, cooked it with OC scanner, still took the heat okay, so it is back in service.  Still a loud, power hungry GPU card.

On another note, I think of my CPU radiator fans is going out.  I hear sqeeling every so now and then.  Good thing I have 2x fans on the radiator.  Guess its time for an upgrade.

I'm on the hopeful side that our 600-series cards will spring to life with an optimized code, but do wonder about something.  Do we actually know that the optimized code (once it is done) will actually have the effect we all desire?  Or are we all just hopin' it will?  I don't know and maybe we won't really know until we finally see what happens.  But it is fun to keep throwing out the FUD!

Man I am on the hoping side. I have no idea in reality. But as history has shown, they usually improve rather nicely...

Look at PrimeGrid and GPU Grid. They easily improved 40% with the latest and greatest... So all of that is how I have and will remain with hope

I've replaced (3) squealers the past couple of months.  When you run 24x7, the fans have been the things for me that can't stand up to that much run time.  But I just keep replacing them and chucking it off to Folding road-kill...

I'm kinda happy, since I have two stay at home folks.  Cranked out 80K yesterday.  Weekend won't be near as much but as I said, I'll fold all month long for the team.

Keep up the pressure.... and Wolf... From one Wulfe (another name) to another.  Lead the pack.  I'm just here to help and need to get back to the crunching team eventually.  Until I hit the lotto of course, then all bets are off!

Fold'em and Crunch'em it's all good!

Thanks so much for helping out. That's why this team is #1. They pull together when need be.

I'll do what I can. I got to get back up to speed "hit a little bump in the road" but things are looking better.

Here to some luck on the lotto. Can't wait to see what you get with your winnings.

Once again, the GTX470 overheated on me in the middle of the night.  I saw it was cooking at 108*C before I shut it down.  It won't overheat at first, but 30mins into folding and then the temps raise up.  I may request a RMA on it from EVGA, but its hard to call that when the GPU isn't failing.  Either way, I removed it for now and letting the GTX560Ti do the GPU folding for now.

As for my fan replacment options, I'm thinking Noctua NF-F12 PWM & NF-P12.  Use the 2x NF-F12 fans for the H100 radiator and replace the rear exhuast fan with the NF-P12.
