flocko

460 GTX here with latest 295.51 beta drivers.

Ive had this set up for over a year running like a champ on 285 series drivers . Bought new ssd fresh Win 7 install and GUESS WHAT ..... yep , out of the blue almost with in hours of driver up date driver crash with the "but was able to recover" message in sys tray.
If you run it off a regular HDD, do you still get a BSOD?  Or does it go away?  SSD's are finicky at best, the first new SSD I got was crash city, because it had a bad controller onboard with similar symptoms to yours.  Replacing the SSD fixed it.  The second SSD I had did the same thing until I flashed it with the newest firmware.

Everyone should try 266.58 yea it is old but it works... I still have not had any driver stopped responding errors.

And this is really pathetic EVGA really no comments, can you reproduce this? Who knows maybe this is an EVGA card issue.

I'm running a Q6600 on an EVGA 750i MoBo with an EVGA 460 GTX and I wasn't having any issues with the most recent drivers until a few weeks ago when I flashed my BIOS on my 750i. And I just finished doing a clean reformat and it's happening more frequently than ever. When I say it I mean the constant "Display drivers have crashed." error where the screen goes black for a few seconds then recovers.

I think everyone is having the same problem, I got a video driver crash just middle clicking to get to the bottom of the third page.  If they haven't posted yet it's because they have better things to do.  I'm sure 99.9% of people are having the same problem.  GeForce 560 Ti here.

Rubish drivers indeed.

It's not an Evga issue, if you look at the MSI,Asus and other Nvidia partner forums, you'll find the same kind of threads on the same topic.
There is a definite issue with the latest nvidia drivers and Firefox. It could be an issue with how the driver works with Java or something else thats runs when you are on the net.
As for Evga not responding; there is nothing they can do.  They do not write the drivers, nvidia does.  I'm sure behind the scenes they would be working to get this sorted, but no doubt there will be some legal clauses in contracts somewhere that prevents them from commenting on the quality (or lack thereof) of the Drivers.

I stand corrected on my original response, my BugCheck is not the same as the OP's, mine was a 0x124 which had me off searching for root cause.  As far as I can tell, some modifications I made to voltages in my BIOS (RAM and VTT Core) have stabilized the system.  No BSoD in almost a week, far more stable, etc.

The 0x3B is a system service exception if I'm not mistaken, so it could be driver, it could be one of the Nvidia services, or something else all together.  I noticed in my event logs that the Nvidia 3D service was constantly crapping out so I've entirely disabled it since I don't use it.
