A little surprised nobody has mentioned Brexit.. or is it deemed too political for the forums? Kind of a world-impacting event..
I don't think many Brits were expecting the result they got, even those who voted to leave the EU, and it's against almost every professional economic opinion available. Some very unhappy Brits over UKIP leader Nigel Farage now completely denying one of the main propaganda points for the Leave campaign [

Markets got slammed on Friday - TDAmeritrade couldn't handle the traffic and I was unable to access my account until half an hour after open - by that time the damage was done and my portfolio took a huge hit, too late to do anything about it. TDAmeritrade apologized and gave me 10 free trades to use within 60 days, which equates to ~$50, which is not even a drop in the bucket of the hit I took. Not a happy camper on that note.
No idea what Monday will bring, maybe a small bounce, but I'm concerned the plunge may increase, which will send the global economy right into recession. I would not want to be a UK citizen right now - the next few years are likely going to be bad ones for them, and murmurs about Scotland having a 2nd referendum to gain independence from England, which if held right now would almost certainly pass, and that would be the end of the United Kingdom *and* Great Britain in one swoop, causing even more economic turbulence. Uncertainty for the next couple of years at least.
Any thoughts?
