Cool, I´m keeping my 2 2ps on Skynet as well. Looks like we´re slowly catching up with some teams ahead of us there, whilst keeping [link=mailto:Boinc@AUS]Boinc@AUS[/link] at bay.

WOW GUY'S YOU ARE REALLY ROCKING
 From the yesterday's bulletin:
"Victim of the recent Russian sprint are Crunching@EVGA (#12) and Boinc@Australia (#13). Both teams will have to work extremely hard if they are not to rot in mid-table obscurity."
Guess who is laughing now HA HA HA

When I started crunching POGS in early April, there were only 9 members on this project.  I was an instant top 10!

I know the feeling UnlcleGregy. I showed off some of the neat badges for POGS and some people jumped aboard. Then the Pentathlon started and gold rush began. Not sure where I was in the rankings but I am now down to 17 for POGS. I wonder where I will end up with Enigma, I bet it won't be my current 5th place ranking.

Not that I'm complaining mind you. Its impressive to see just how many points our team mates can pile up with their multiple systems and their systems with multiple processors and GPU's. Its doing wonders for our standings on Formula Boinc. We have moved up to 16th place over all in League Two with 90 points. POGs we have gone from 17th to 9th place earning us 2 points. There has been no movement from our 29th spot with Rossetta but I did not expect any just yet. I'm curious if we will get any movement with Collatz, 17th place, and Enigma, 21st place.

Congrats Orange!

I'm moving some back to POGS. Not a huge fan of Rosetta.

I have had a lot of problems with Rosetta in the past , it hogs memory and has validation issues, so I just stuck with POGS for the Pentathlon. I just fired up Collatz on the GPU so I will be up and running when it rolls around. Since I have a large list of POGS tasks waiting to be validated I will jump over to Enigma when the time comes. No validation with Enigma so I will be getting points from both for a day or two until the POGS validation back log clears up. At least that's my strategy for now. It might have to change when the Grab Bag project is announced.

Finished up with my projects for a bit and finally got one machine on POGs... When I get home tonight I'll pop the 48C on POGs for fun.

we´re loosing ground there on Rosetta.
For all those still running it, and not have a huge backlog:
change your cpu target time  from the default 3h to 4 or more hours. Those tasks have a better points/hour ratio

I'll finish up POGS on my gamer and get the 48C going for POGS... I'll put the gamer on Rosetta... that should help.  I'll stick the other 8C on Rosetta also.  It's a light duty machine.

Thanks for the tip, Mr. B.  I've been saving my Rosetta bunker as a little "surprise" for the other teams, but I'm uploading that soon and will make the change to 4 hours before downloading any more work.

Changed as you recommended. Thanks for the tip. Also, I will have a couple smaller Rosetta bunkers to drop when Collatz kicks in, so that should help out a bit.

We are doing well on pogs. Passed DC Russian last update and we are making a run at ESL to poke into the top 10!

Hey Punchy, I had the same idea, but had to open it cause with my settings of 12h the tasks would have lasted me until the end of  next week.
Seems that change also effects tasks you have already downloaded

Heads up if you have not ran Collatz recently. They have broken up the tasks by size. The longer the task takes the more points you get for it via a bonus. I started a Long run this morning on my GTX 680. It is now at 50% completed after 8 hours of run time. So yeah, they were not kidding by naming it a long run. I am going to give the Micro tasks a try next. They are a step up from the smallest, Mini, tasks.

Whoa!  I've been slacking off!  I completely forgot to start bunkering Collatz.  Running it now!
Also added my work laptop (Atom processor) and my Android phone to POGS.  Every little bit helps, right?
BTW Khali, how long to run the Micro tasks on your 680?  I'm running Solo and it shows as an hour and a half.  Waiting to see how long it will really take.

Edit: Actual run time for Solo Collatz is 48-52 minutes.

The Mini's take 3.5 to 4.5 minutes or so on my 770 at default setting.  770 is vanilla acx model.

Moved the 4P-48C to POGs... should see some numbers there in about 6 hours give or take upload/validation/acknowledgement time.

Anyone have any guesses, theories, or rumors as to what the Showbag project might be?

Just an fyi if you're running collatz and it's not fully utilizing your gpu efficiently, there are parameters that can be set.

Now I am rethinking my strategy. Stick with Enigma all the way to the 17th or jump over to Poem as soon as I can on the 14th? I suspect I can produce more points running Enigma but its been a while since I have ran Poem I am not sure about that.

Isn´t POEM another gpu heavy project? So you can leave your cpus on Enigma or pogs

Ah, thanks Kawika.
Guess I´ve been out of the loop for too long.
I´ll keep/ return my stuff to pogs after we´re done with rosetta and enigma. After all this is our chance at a our first top 10 position

I'm trying to not make a drop until enigma starts....  scaling back on pogs, running collatz cpu and gpu tasks....
