BIOS 1.14 Updates

  • Support Xeon CPU. Please refer to updated CPU support list here.
  • Support UEFI RAID. The UEFI RAID configuration page will exist under Advanced page when user set to RAID mode and disable CSM function.
  • Support disable CPU cores by per core.
  • Add USB profile function. User can save profile to USB and load from USB.
  • Add load last saved settings function. (Hot key F9) User can load last settings even if clean CMOS.
  • Add VT-d item under CPU configuration page.
Windows Installation

  • Download the correct .zip file below for your motherboard:
         151-HE-E999-KR - EVGA X99 Classified
         150-HE-E997-KR - EVGA X99 FTW
         131-HE-E995-KR - EVGA X99 Micro
  • First go into your BIOS and load defaults, save and exit
  • Close all open programs.
  • Go into the folder where you unzipped this package and update.bat
  • Press Y to start the flash process
  • DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR RESET DURING THE FLASH PROCESS
  • After the flashing is finished, the system will automatically shut down. Then power on again and go into BIOS to setup.
  • NOTE: If flash box immediately closes after flash attempt, the flash may need to be ran from a CMD prompt with administrator privileges or DOS version.

BIOS Installation
  • Extract the contents of .zip file to USB flash drive (must be formatted as FAT32)
  • Reboot the machine and go into the system BIOS
  • From the BIOS, navigate to the Save & Exit tab and open "Select BIOS File."

Cool, how do I see the attached file for what Xeon CPU's are now supported?

The save profile to usb is a nice addition. Also going to give the uefi raid a try.

Sorry about that, I corrected it with the link.
I am working with programming now to get it updated, we should have it up momentarily, in the interim if you have one you are specifically needing to know about ask and I will check the test list.

Glad you like the feature, I think it could be really handy.

Let us know how you like the UEFI RAID and if you have any concerns so I can work with engineering on any issue you run into.

I like it because every time you flash you loose the profile and it lets you move the profile to another bios if needed.

This is really nice, I hope they do the same for their X79 Motherboard!

Installed it - nothing has blown up so far. That's all that I can really ask. ;)

    X99 Micro here.

Did a quick LinX 50x run (about 5 min.) and my OC is as stable as before.

    EDIT: still great - now it's 01/30/15.

To enable UEFI Raid, I'm assuming you'd have to redo the array and perform a clean install correct?  You can't just switch it I assume.

    System Specs:
Metal box with an X99 system, a bunch of EVGA parts, and some wires inside of it.

Nope, they need to bribe someone at Asus to tell them how they fixed the X99 Deluxe bios to work with the Xonar.

No, I've been waiting five months for a BIOS fix from EVGA for this exact issue, they've not even commented on it once (outside of Jacob continuously saying change the PCIe lane which hasn't worked for any ASUS sound card owner but he keeps saying it). It's just time for them to be honest and say they're never going to fix it. If you want a X99 board that works with a nice high end ASUS sound card, don't even consider purchasing an EVGA board.

Wonderful... I am not a genius but I WOULD think that if one company could do it others could too... Especially a company that prides itself on solving your MB problems...
I am sure they will sooner or later but its why I always wait awhile before I make MAJOR changes...

In order to set this you have to also modify the video to EUFI and reboot, I did all this, disabled CSM, rebooted, no UEFI raid configuration page in the Advanced page is available when set to RAID mode. Maybe I am missing something, I have clicked everywhere....

Also, with each new release, the system gets slower and the overclocks get worse.... I no longer am anxious waiting for a new BIOS to be released.

Also, why is it Corsair RGB mechanical keyboards refuse to work in these new X99 motherboards? I ask Corsair, they blame EVGA, I contacted EVGA, they blame Corsair. A damn near $4,000 system and I have to keep a cheap USB keyboard plugged in to make BIOS changes.

What Bios would you then recommend, I will have my X99 Classified Motherboard tomorrow.
    CPU will be the i7-5960X Memory Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 2400MHz C14 memory kit for DDR4 Systems (CMK32GX4M4A2400C14).

On your KB issue, do all the USB Ports have this issue with Corsair RGB mechanical keyboards?
    Thanks

I see the RST, not listed as UEFI RAID (I'm a stickler for accuracy, they said UEFI RAID option, also you have to modify other things as well, such as switching video to UEFI), so I see the Intel RST, unfortunately can't boot using this config, it just boots straight into the BIOS. If you look at boot order on the boot screen, does yours just say hard drive? My system has been acting funky using 1.14, the fact it refuses to boot using UEFI is a pain, under all stock clocks I get that funky click on reboots as well forcing me to power off.... each BIOS for this system performs worse.

I may just got back one rev on another BIOS switch...

I had a bad day so I'm cranky, I think I'll hit the sack and re-visit tomorrow... sorry guys.

It says hard drive:windows boot manager, also when I was playing around with the uefi options it re set my boot to legacy from uefi.

Well, figured I'd try again, no matter what, mine won't boot to anything but the BIOS configured this way, mine also says to set the video to UEFI first, now on this last boot up Windows went into startup repair and I hadn't even been into it yet.

Not having much fun with this.... going to bed.

Nope just enable it in the csm section under the boot tab in the bios.

Enabling it in CSM and rebooting the system says it can't find the boot device....
