I think most of us would agree BF:Hardline (PC version) is currently the biggest FLOP of 2015. In less than a month of release, we see the player base drop from 27,986 peak to 12,153 peak. Wait, you can't say that, you will be flamed as an EA hater... Anyway, does this surprise anyone? I mean, I have been having some pretty dumb fun in the game from time to time, but nothing that makes me want to invest any lengthy period of time playing it. This comes from someone who has Battlefield Bad Company 2 as one of his all time highest played games. The fun of running people over in a couch, and driving in circles shooting from cars, gets old real quick.

I always like new titles other people give me.  I had some fun times in the beta when we had like 8 of us in the same team speak channel playing together. After a few hours i did find myself getting bored of the poorly made maps for hotwire gamemode. One thing that bugged me is how the vehicles handled, they take zero skill to drive. I'm a veteran to Battlefield games too.

Honestly, hotwire takes no skill at all... Just drive in a circle and you get thousands upon thousands of dollars. It really can be just dumb fun... However, the fun doesn't last long. Then, you find yourself looking to the other game modes... Which are basically the same old crap again... AND THAT is what kills/killed the game.

I like it a lot, but it's disappointing to see such low numbers already. What will they look like in a week after GTAV and MKX?

I think it's a very very poor attempt. Even putting the battlefield name to it is a complete joke.. mainly scripted levolution destruction events with hardly any destruction elsewhere.. it's the least Battlefield like experience from any Battlefield launch to date at an EXTREMELY ridiculous price point. Hardly any loadout options in comparison to BF4, hardly any thought put into this game...
It should have been an addon for $15-20 max. I received a full refund on the game.

Well lucky for us all it was Visceral and not Dice. I am having fun but not a fan of most of the maps. Really would like to see the next DLC and them add some close quarters stuff.

As sinned. mentioned, visceral isn't DICE, and DICE is still working on the CTE side to make things better in BF4.... ssssoooo, yeah. I won't spend money on this. If I get it free, I won't download it. I spent the time on the beta and didn't like it, so I won't spend time or money on the rest.

You want to see low numbers, look at Evolve on PC. That is a true flop. Saturday when I looked in the early evening, there were 2000 people playing.......

I stopped playing this, CoD AW, Titanfall, and Evolve... There are much better games out now. GTA V has been pretty darn good, MKX, Elite Dangerous, NBA 2K15, Insurgency is always great... Cities: Skylines... Yeah, BF is junk and so is CoD, Titanfall and Evolve. In all, Elite Dangerous is the best... That game sucks hours out of my life... More like days out of my life.

Well the decline of success in recent games in these particular franchises could mean a change of direction for trends. I for one would love to see more quality titles in the same genre, in stead of a flooded market with bad to average titles and only a few exemptions.

Death sign for sure. The price is still too high for a game that barely hit over 6k in past 24 hours on PC. I bet will see it on sale for $20 before end of summer and be $10-15 right before new Call of Duty or Starwars game comes out.
