Anyone experienced this? When I go to open BFBC2 in the shortcut, or in Steam, it sometimes crashes 3-4 times before booting. Kinda irritating. It'll boot in a window then crash.
And not my graphics drivers because it does it on 3 different updates.

No problems with BC2. I think it IS a problem on your end though. Maybe not the driver, maybe so.
It would help to know what driver you have and what it is driving.

If it was working fine, then all of a sudden it's been doing this, then I suggest uninstalling, then reinstalling the game.

Try reinstalling drivers and also try deleting your config file and let the game make new one.

Man I can't wait for the crashes to desktop and punkbuster errors we're gonna get from BF3.
Make sure PB is updated and make sure your OC is stable if you have one.

My BFBC2 was freezing up on me during gameplay for the last several days. I have been trying everything to fix it. Installed a couple different Nvidia drivers, and that didn't help. I then thought it was a sound issue, so I reinstalled my sound card drivers, and it was still the same thing. I tried finding fixes online. So I changed a couple things in the BFBC2 folder. Still getting freezing issues. So early this evening I went ahead and downloaded PunkBuster, and updated it. Guess what? It worked the last few hours without a hiccup, or freeze. Man I'm glad I read this thread earlier. :)

Go into your BFBC2 config file and make sure your screen res matches your desktop screen res and in game screen res.
I had the same problem and found from switching from surround view back to standard view and back again to surround that the BFBC2 config file stayed at the standard 1920x1080 res and the game would crash everytime I tried to start it..

It does JJVAL, thanks. Already fixed it. Found out in my action center, that PunkBuster was outdated, so every few mins when it would check to see if I had any bots, or hacks, it would notice mine was out of date, and kick me. I updated, and now it works great.

try clean install of the game.
delete the game. control panel/programs and features /BFBC2 uninstall
run C cleaner to clear registry issues
restart and reinstall.

Thanks for the attempted help. But we already got it fixed. The dude above helped us both. It was caused by us having outdated versions of PunkBuster.
