BF4 - Need tips to get it working again?

I can't explain it, bf4 just stopped working a couple months back and haven't been able to play it since. Repair and reinstall doesnt work. Game never really starts, just that black screen with that icon _ loading. Basically times out and closes the game. Pretty sure nothing has changed since the last time it worked though. Any ideas?

    I had the same problem for 2 months, checking both boxes in windows firewall seem to work for me.

    Also, make sure no other programs using an overlay are running when you go to launch the game. This includes Steam, X-Fire, Overwolf...basically anything that can add information over the top of the game when playing.

    If you are using Afterburner or PrecisionX add a profile for BF4 in the RTSS server and change the detection level to 'none'.

    Try stopping Precision as well. I had an issue several versions back where it was the cause of game crashing. Driver conflict possibly? Are you running what's in your sig still, a 780ti and a 560ti? Hope you can get it going.
