Retailers can sell at whatever prices they believe they can sell them for.

Yes but there really should be a set limit from the manufacturer... takes the cake a little.

EVGA 980Ti Hydro Copper is more expensive than 980Ti + EKWB waterblock...
But it's better option, people should remember that. Higher clock, everything installed and nice EVGA logo on whole block is advantage.
980Ti Hydro Copper is 140MHz overclocked. 980Ti 100MHz overclocked give 1-2 fps better results than TITAN X on any resolution.
I think in August or maybe even end of July situation will be far better. NVIDIA now probably produce more cards...
They didn't know what will happen after Fury X show up but now they will increase production 100%, only need little time.

This is why I would rather go with the Hydro Copper. It has a factory OC to start with and is more likely to get to higher clocks than the factory cards...

    Good day,

The EU department is closed for the weekend. Typically we don't have an ETA on when inventory will be available and the best option is to select the "Auto Notify" option: http://eu.evga.com/products/prodlist.asp. However if the EU team has a timeframe they will reply on Monday.

It's a shame that is your answer. As being notified of something that is likely to go out of stock in minutes isn't really any kind of notification in my eyes. It's more a loto... Let me clarify. I'm guessing everyone's ISP's, connections etc are different, which means someone with a good ISP and a great connection will have a greater chance...

Buy a 980 ti. Slap a waterblock on it. Flash to hydro copper bios. Save money. Have product sooner. OC/Game on.

    *just a suggestion*

    1) It doesn't turn out cheaper. 509 for cheapest 980 Ti, £88 for waterblock and £30 for backplate. Works out around the same price.

    2) Flash to HC bios? What if the card won't run at those speeds?

    3) Doesn't flashing void the warranty?

    4) Where would you even get the HC bios?

    5) If it were so easy and non time consuming for one person then why can't EVGA, a big company with I'm guessing many employees, make them faster and have them In stock anyways?

    Roger !

I didn't actually checked the prizes. Just assumed it would be a bit cheaper.

You can void warranty with some brands. Evga doesn't really give you much grief about flashing the bios.
Why would they sell a card with a double bios ? Yes, so you can switch between them.
Some of the rom files are exchangable. Giving it is the same card or based on the same. ( allways double check )

Try looking @ OCN and Techpowerup for the custom bios of your choice. Make sure to read about it first. You dont want to brick your 980 ti.
But even if you do, you can allways flash it back to the original rom. ( you'll need a Igpu or another card )

The fact EVGA doesn't stack up the warehouse full with 980 ti's is due to marketing. You want to sell the product. Make it look special. Don't keep to much in stock.
There is a whole zhiiistorm of marketing around these things.

My choice would be a reff.card with an aftermarket waterblock, EK or XSPC. preff.

Well this is the problem. By doing this they allow companies like OCUK to put a premium on their products. I could have bought 2 from them the other day... But for £750 each. That's £120 more than their retail price!

    120 a piece ? Or for the total of 2 cards ?
Don't you got a friend/relative living in the states ? Or someone who can send you stuff.

I had the same problem with a backplate for a 780 classy. No stock at the evga shop.
Eventually ordered one at Frozencpu.  ( way before they started having "problems" )

120 a piece. For two cards it would be 240! So that's $1,187 per card! It's insane:( Whereas you guys get it for £509 as standard which is the price of our stock 980 Ti cards!

I don't have a relative in the states and even if I did I would have to pay customs tax which wouldn't make it worthwhile anyways.

Unfortunately the only place in the UK that seems to sell them apart from EVGA is OCUK!

Keep looking at the EU EVGA website if you're in Europe. Choose the notify me button next to the item you want. When you get email notification of stock order FAST.

I'm afraid I've tried this and I looked as soon as I received the email and still missed out.
