Been hearing that some rumors that now with 900 cards you get a copy of farcry 4 or the new assassins creed, anyone know if it's real?

If they are smart they will - but nvidia doesn't really 'need' to push it since they are still selling out as bare bone vanilla versions at the moment...

Fair enough, I just saw it on reddit and wanted to ask and see if anyone heard anything. I was surprised it didn't come with anything when I got my pair of 980s.

I'm pretty sure it's real. Tiger direct already leaked some images on their website. It got pulled though. The only clue we have is that you get to "choose" among 3 games. FC4, ACU, and The Crew. Theres a possibility we might get to select 2 out of the 3 games. I'm hoping that is the case. I highly doubt they will give all 3 away though, since it said "choose"

Yeah and if it does happen all the people that were first in line to buy the new cards and didn't wait are going to be whining why they didn't get the extra freebies. Happens all the time.

Yes it is real. I called Newegg to ask if I can get the redeem codes from the two 980 cards i purchased on 10/24/14. Even though it was before this promotion officially started they are hooking me up, they have also done this for other people.

If you bought your card from newegg even before the promo started then your in luck. Call up new egg and they will give u a game code. I bought my second gtx 980 on 10/09 and they still sent me a code :)

I can also confirm Newegg honors the purchase of the 900 series cards even before promo officially began. I bought mine on 10/7. However, if you bought two cards, only one code works as the second says it's already been used after you use the first. There may be a "per household" stipulation or something like that, but I was happy to get 1 free game. If someone knows a way around this 1 game redemption let me know!
